Catwhately 110517 does look promising, I do so hope it is Frankie.

If Frankie has been collected DA5 would be the Bexley warden, who can be contacted via 020 8303 7777.Last edited: 2017-01-25 00:48:52 by Mary

Also, sorry for not getting back to you all about the dog that Ben Brittain posted. I satisfied myself that it wasn't Frankie, via a series of photos he kindly shared. :-(
catwhatley
Thank you Svend. I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed about this dog. I a waiting for the lady who kindly posted about this dog to get back to me about its whereabouts. She believes her neighbour took her to the police station last night so fingers crossed the dog warden will now have her. I will keep you posted.

Bumped due to possible recent sighting

This info was posted a couple of days ago, this is not far from where Frankie went missing from. Please could Frankie's post be bumped due to this sighting of a similar dog. (Frankie's owner is aware of this sighting).

Ferne Animal Sanctuary
Thank you to everyone that has informed us of a very thin German Shepherd Dog that has been spotted over the last couple of weeks wandering around the Wambrook and surrounding area. We believe she is female and our Animal Care Team have been out several times to try and catch her over the last couple of weeks. Sadly, she is so terrified that we have been unable to get near to her as yet. We have set up a trap with food and hope that we will be able to bring her to safety and look after her very soon. The RSPCA and Dog Warden are aware, but we would welcome news of any recent sitings.Last edited: 2015-09-14 12:47:55 by Sarah

I would also like to add that I am very grateful for everybody's efforts in trying to help us find Frankie. We truly are extremely grateful. We really thought we had found her when this doggie turned up and were devastated when it was not her. And heartbroken that any dog could have been treated as badly as the poor dog we saw a couple of weeks ago was.
Thank you all for your help. xLast edited: 2015-01-28 22:57:23 by catwhatley

Hi, I am afraid that I don't know the ref number for the found dog. She was at the dogs home in Bath. My mum was very tempted to take her home anyway, but she is in the process of moving house and a dog that's been through the trauma this one clearly has needs stability. Had my mum been already settled, she would gladly have given her a home.

What Found ref number is the found one please, I cannot find it.

Not Otter either, much lighter colouring, face has a lot more tan and no black on ears.

Poochpal any chance found dog could be Ottie from SN15 ID 64109?

Unfortunately comparison of vet records has confirmed that the dog found near Swainswick, is not Frankie. There were doubts when they met as although the found one was friendly and greeted her visitors well there was no sign of recogition. They are so similar that it took examination of the knee to be sure so we will continue to look out for Frankie and hope the found one finds a loving home where she can recover.

Admin
Sorry to see that FRANKIE MISSING FOR ONE YEAR is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (71565)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
