- I have been waiting since July for an update on poor Misty's abusers. Does anybody know if the police brought anybody to court for this atrocity.

- Signed. RIP Misty. I have no qualms that the 34 year old alleged suspect will suffer in some way - not necessary to share things like this on social media to get the desired result.
- 2014-07-25 16:04 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
THIS part is just so important........They have urged the public to avoid posting threats or naming potential suspects on social media as it can have a detrimental effect on the investigation and any subsequent prosecution..... however when feelings run high people tend to vent all their anger on line and often say things which can jeopardise cases.
There is an online petition which can be signed to show the support towards better justice....

- Thanks Bo. At least we know Misty is happy, and safe where she is with the Angels, where no harm can come to her.

- Quote from local newspaper
" Police last night said they have arrested a 34-year-old man from Waterlooville in connection with the theft of a dog from Blossom Drive, Waterlooville on July 12. He remains in police custody pending further enquiries. They have urged the public to avoid posting threats or naming potential suspects on social media as it can have a detrimental effect on the investigation and any subsequent prosecution."Last edited: 2014-07-25 15:28:04 by Bo - 2014-07-25 15:27 Jot cotswolds
- Don't always rush to be negative about the RSPCA, they are probably unable to do anything as the police are already involved and have someone collared for it. Pointless them getting involved when their next step would be to prosecute with police help...the police already have things in hand themselves.

- I am so saddened to read of this terrible event and send lots of love and hugs to Misty now on Rainbow Bridge and all my condolences to Misty's poor family. What is the world coming to really - thank God there are still many people who support animals. I cannot understand how animal abusers think - what sad lives they must have. As for the RSPCA, I have been a supporter for many years an give regular donations to them, Blue Cross, Dogs Trust and two of our local dog rescue charities. I am surprised and disappointed they did not follow up this case and seek justice for Misty - I know they have a difficult job but I guess without them, there would be even more cruelty and suffering. I agree too much money though is spent on publicity and paying people to get more donations.
Misty's family - think of all your happy times when you played with her, walked her and snuggled up with her. She will be thanking you for wonderful life xx - 2014-07-25 13:28 valpark
- There will never be true justice for dear Misty.Even if caught the evil person/people will likely get a slap on the wrist and a small fine.Animals have no real value in society as far as the law is concerned. If everyone could see the tears and feel the pain of the poor family of Misty more may be done. They will never forget poor Misty and how she died.Any loving dog owner understands this. There is no punishment good enough for these evil people..There seems to be organised gangs going round and stealing dogs.I wish the police would take it seriously as going through such trauma for dog owners is worse than having property stolen. The RSPCA is a business. They rely on donations from the general public and spend it on publicity to encourage more donations to pay the high wages. So many of the dogs are put down and given no chance,.I prefer to support Battersea Dogs home or Dogs Trust.
I feel so sad for the poor family of Misty. The positive thought is that you gave her 12 years of love..something many dogs never receive. So many staffs never have a chance, so 12 years is wonderful for her and for you all.My tears, love and kind thoughts xx - 2014-07-25 13:18 Lucylou
- Thinking of Misty's family at this dreadful time. I really despair of 'humanity' sometimes. I pray she didnt suffer. RIP Misty xxx

- CJ. Thanks for the updates. I dont think the RSPCA are true animal lovers to be honest. They only seem to do any good when they have cameras following them on the TV. They should be disbanded, and set something up with people that really CARE. As for the scum who did this to Misty, I would make them "Dance" on hot coals, and then throw them in the canal. The RSPCA are a waste of space. They are a joke. Hope we get jjustice for MistyLast edited: 2014-07-25 12:54:32

- As no names given I think this may be this case. I do know that behind the scenes Hampshire police were gathering information and I had 2 calls from officers who were finding out as much info I could provide.

- I am incensed for this family. Why am I not surprised that the RSPCA do not wish to be involved. They like to get involved with the media with programs like Animal SOS but when it comes to helping a member of the public get justice for their pet so cruelly treated they don't want to know. God bless you Misty sweet girl you did not deserve this. I just hope this "person" the police have in custody is held account for his actions and not just a slap on the wrist. They must be aware that animal abuse leads to further crimes and a child could be next. My thoughts are with Mistys devastated owners I can't imagine how they must be feeling.

- Not on fb at the moment, so not sure what has happened, but from the comments on here it was dark and terrible. So very sorry. I really despise humans sometimes (of course not all..). Poor Misty, poor family. What is wrong with some "people".????! Misty, you were loved for so much of your life. There are people here so upset for you. There is some hope. So devastated for your family. I can barely begin to imagine what they are going through, and I have an all too lively imagination. xxx

- It is with great sadness I move Misty to rainbow bridge. RIP Misty you did not deserve this.
I feel so much for this family and the total unnecessary grief this has caused them .
I have held back on this until it was confirmed by her chip that this was Misty.
Feelings will run high but if any outcome is to be successful then it must be done lawfully and with evidence.
Events concerning the outcome of her death are being put out all over various sites but I ask that anyone with information of this person who is suspected of causing harm to either Misty or other animals that take their evidence to police or report it to the RSPCA.
Only doing this properly will get ''Justice for Misty'' - 2014-07-23 22:56 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
