Can I say, thank you everyone for supporting owner through this awful ordeal. I know some of this story and we really need to locate all these dogs if we can. Owner would even be happier if she knew that some of rescues are in loving homes. It's the not knowing as well as missing them. Thank you. x

anjela - there is a copy of the multi rottie potter on ISHTAR's page.

Thanks Alison.

There are 7 Rottweilers missing. Think you may have missed Sniff as he was reported missing a few days before the others. I have made up a multi posters for the Rotties and will do one for the other dog once we have a photo.

I agree with Chris63, it would be good to have a poster with all the stolen dogs on one. They should all be listed separately as you've already done but as you can have two pictures per listing, maybe have one photo of the dog that listing is about and then the second photo to be a group photo. It may help to jog peoples memories. I'd like to think that if I'd seen a group of 6 rottweilers and a spaniel I'd remember!

I know who actually took my dogs what I don't know is how he got so many into the country at once on his own. The last known sightings of these dogs was at a vets in Portugal who I have been in touch with. The ports wudnt tell me anything.xx
Chris63
It is a shame we can't put all the dogs on one poster and then distribute that one poster. So hope these lovely dogs are found. I will put some of the posters up on a board in Colchester where lots of people walk their dogs. X

Thanks for clarifying Alison - if the names of the people are known try looking on the electoral roll or 192.com - I am assuming there was no forwarding address left with the new people at the property.
AlisonH
The owner did have an address but the people and dogs have since moved to a new location.

Surely DEFRA or the port/airport these animals were brought in through must have kept records of animals coming in and an address as to where the dogs were being taken ? I am assuming they would all be travelling on a Pet Passport. Have dog transporters been contacted ? Anyway just putting down my thoughts in case it any way helps. Failing that CCTV from the ports/airport. Wishing you all good luck. Julie x

Ah I understand. Fingers crossed with all the current publicity, you will have them home soon.

Yes we were all out in Portugal at the time but I have since found out all the animals were brought back to the UK supposedly to be returned to me after I got back but I never saw them again. I cant go into to much detail on here but the co ordinators are fully aware of exactly what happened and that's the basics of it.xx

So, were all the dogs in Portugal when they were stolen? And someone else has brought them all back to the Uk? I'm sorry if it sounds a daft question, am just trying to get my head round exactly what the events were.
anji
I had 7 rottweilers of my own. I had then rescued a spaniel and 7 terriers {6 of them newborn) from a ditch. I managed to find a good home for 1 of the terrier pups once she was old enough but cudnt find homes for the rest so kept them and treated them as our own. They were all stolen which the co ordinator of this site is aware of. I have tried to put a pic up of Bonita but as yet it hasn't gone up. Maybe its with listing so many at once. Im still listing the rest of the strays. The strays all have Portuguese micro chip numbers as that's where we were when it happened but I have found they have all been brought back to the Uk and were last known to be in the Groom Park area of Clacton on Sea

Sorry to see that BONITA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (71876)

  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
