I didnt get a chance to get a photo as was in my car and it was startled and dashed for the woods.I cant be sure what breed it was a large black dog which was very heavily matted.I couldnt even tell if ears were pricked or flap type due to its condition.I walk the area everyday as Im a dog walker but havent seen it since.Local dog warden and local police is aware but they havent been able to find it either.If I see it again and its friendly Ill try to catch it or at least take a photo.

I thought it might be Caitlin it says Tervueren but then it says black so is probably a Groenendael. I left a voice message on the phone number for Caitlin but no idea if it was picked up by the right person. Lost my phone and internet last week thru a storm so won't hear from her anyway.

Yes that is true Michelle.
A Black dog that has not been brushed will have a dull Brown look.

Is the dog still there?

You will get brown fur on a black dog when it gets overgrown, the fur dies and the dog is not groomed.

Sighter said bits of brown but could have been dirt...may even be a very dirty germanshepherd.

Harvey has been missing a while.

I had same thought soon as dog came on mathers22 so have passed on to the co ord's that helping with Harvey. Really hope dog wardens are able to catch x
