Im with you Julie, whoever stole him are scumbags and deserve the strong arm of the law, I so hope they have been caught, this stealing of dogs is getting way out of hand. Very scary.

Alikat - maybe my geography isn't quite up to scratch below - but I am unable to see anywhere below that I have mentioned 'travellers' and can only see that I have called them scumbags (which if anyone is stealing dogs - whether it be the same people or not) that is what they are. I was only pointing out that the 3 cases could be connected - which I think is a fair comment !!

Slight correction, Julie B. Godstone isn't all that near to Orpington - must be at least 15 miles, but Merstham is nearer. We do have a lot of travellers' sites in this part of Surrey and we all know they like lurcher-type dogs. However, it would be unfair to point the finger at anyone without proof.

The owner posted on facebook that it was the dog in the RH9 Godstone area on the found page of doglost id 72096 that was this little dog :-)
From what I remember Godstone is very near to Orpington where the other little Saluki (id 72060) was stolen on 17/7/14 and a further 2 lurchers (id 72126) have been stolen from Merstham this morning. It sounds like it could be the same scumbags involved with all of these cases :-(

Just phoned owner and her phone was just about to go dead...but said they have just picked him up...no more details....but owner will email us with details...so could have been the found dog we dont know yet....

Just had a look on gumtree and noticed another saluki taken from orpington at 6.30pm tonight, not that far from you I think. Advertiser said his was taken by travellers. Just thought I would let you know.

Oh no - I am in Horsham which is only down the road from Faygate. Hve you put him as stolen on the Horsham facebook page? This will make people aware that he is missing and be more alert for their own pets. If you have the number plate - surely the police will be able to trace the address of the vehicle and go to visit the property ? I will share on my facebook page and also put on the local dog rescue page. Was he in a garden when stolen or out on a walk? I do hope he is found safe and well very soon x
