- Thank you so much everyone for keeping trying.... Poor Cookie is still missing. Thank you to all of you who contacted us about the Cocker found in Shoreham, that's a boy poor love so not Cookie. The Cocker advertised on the Pets4Homes page is too young to be Cookie, who is 18 months now. The poor little puppy found in Swale is too young too. Thank you so much for keeping at it, we are sooo grateful....

- As far as I can work out, someone has posted that the dog on Facebook has been reunited. Considering there were no details given, I find this quite odd. I have sent a message to both the originator of that post and to the person who has said that the dog has been reunited to ask for details. Have been round in a complete circle. I had a response from Sharon, Cookies owner and have tried to relay her the info. I'm tweeting it from @MissingPetsGB .

- Hi Sharon Really sorry it wasn't her. There is another chocolate cocker with a white flash on her chest on dragon driving. What made me wonder about this one is that they say they are rehoming her because of work commitments but there is a blue roan cocker's foot behind which they are not rehoming. Also Dragon Driving is one of those sites that ......... better not say any more but if you have a look at it I think you will know what I mean.
Cocker Spaniel Bitch - New
Cocker Spaniel Bitch
Cocker Spaniel Bitch
A 5 year old cocker spaniel bitch, very obedient, will sit, lay and fetch on command. Very clever and well behaved.
Would make a great family pet, good with other dogs and children. Golden brown colour.
Sadly selling because of work commitments. She cannot be used for breeding. Must go to a loving home.

- BTW: We live right next to Ashtead Common and have been out time and again trying to find her, to no avail. Thought she might have crossed the road into Horton, but we haven't managed to track her down there either. :<

- THANK YOU all so much for your efforts so far. We are desperate to find Cookie - she is a much loved family member, and my children are devastated. They very sadly lost their father to skin cancer 5 years ago, and now this! Any news very gratefully received, and substantial reward for safe return. Thank you again! Sharon

- Had a thought after my walk yesterday..... has anyone been and put posters around the Wells estate? I never realised how close this is to the common and Cookie could have easily gone that way. I can't do anything over there today and as its 15 miles from me it would be useful to know if posters are already out there.
- 2014-08-04 21:52 alikat
- Yes, I texted Sharon too. I then walked right round the two large fishing ponds and put up 10 laminated posters as I went. I saw just one (non Doglost) poster in the car park. Let's hope all these new posters will jog someone's memory.
- 2014-08-04 13:25 csquaredb
- Texted owner today. Sadly Cookie is still missing and there have been no reported sightings of her.
- 2014-08-03 16:34 alikat
- Thanks and well done Nanna07. I don't know the area that well but I'll take some posters and walk onto the common from the Horton side - should be able to get out there tomorrow. As you say, without feedback we could be looking in completely the wrong area, but at least we are doing something!
- 2014-08-03 12:23 Nanna07
- I am keeping the posters up to date and talk to anyone new I see, I walk the common every day and have changed routes every day. I carry leaflets to hand out. With no feedback it is hard going but I haven't stopped.
If you can walk the stew ponds area on the Epsom side it would be great. - 2014-08-02 10:05 alikat
- Very disappointed to see no further entries on here. It's very easy to lose interest in trying to help if the owners are not pro-active. Does anyone know the latest situation on this one? I am around this week and could help with a search if there have been any reported sightings.
- 2014-07-26 08:50 alikat
- Nanna07 I agree completely. Unfortunately I'm on "granny duty" next week so won't be able to join in. It is such a pity owners of missing dogs don't or can't interact with everyone on these pages trying to help them. I don't like to intrude on their privacy/grief by phoning. Just a suggestion, although I believe they may be somewhere else in the country at the moment, maybe Jenny and Tiga could help with some tracking? Jenny's number is 07740 149671.
- 2014-07-25 14:50 PaulaK
- Thanks Nanna07. I couldn't get through to owner so sent text asking for update - no news on Cookie still. Have asked owner to put update on here of what has been done.
- 2014-07-25 12:02 Nanna07
- PaulaK I have not heard anything.
Was thinking we could do the same walk at same time and hand out leaflets and talk to everybody we see, would be more than happy to take part. However with no contact or updates it is hard. Have been checking all free ads and other sites and nothing has come up. - 2014-07-25 07:31 PaulaK
- Any updates? Will try and ring owner later if not
- 2014-07-23 13:07 Nanna07
- Been searching free adverts and found this advert for a lost dog very close to here and so similar it is amazing.

- I have asked them to give more info and update this site. I only have the mobile number which is on the poster.
- 2014-07-23 12:46 alikat
- Nanna07, you're doing a great job. It would still be helpful to know where Cookie's owner lives so we might have a clue which direction she could be heading. At least she's microchipped, which should help get her home.
- 2014-07-23 09:31 Nanna07
- Went out early and changed the ruined posters and put up extra, also handed out loads of leaflets to raise awareness.
However have a Labrador and cannot go too near the stew ponds as the fishermen would hate her, so if anybody was able to take posters and leaflets round that area I would happily provide them. Thanks - 2014-07-22 21:20 Nanna07
- We were out handing out leaflets on Ashtead Common and many posters had gone. We then came across a lady who told us the dog had been found. We texted owners and it has been confirmed she is still missing, so will be back out putting up posters in the morning.
- 2014-07-22 18:17 alikat
- Went to Horton Park and didn't see a single poster for Cookie. Walked around as much as I could (too hot for a long walk with my dog) and put about five posters up. Also spoke to some people who live locally and gave them a poster to put up near their home. Will try and get to the Epsom Common side another day. SHARON could we possibly have some idea of where you live/where Cookie might head?
- 2014-07-22 11:44 alikat
- Have printed 10 posters and about to laminate them. Plan to head for Horton Country Park later and walk round, putting posters up as I go. Hope you will have a sighting soon.
- 2014-07-21 18:15 alikat
- Posters need to be laminated or in pouches. I have a laminator so could do some. Maybe I'll bring my dog up there for our walk tomorrow and some posters too.
