Sharron, just a thought, have you looked at website www.hwanimalrescue.org, they have a particular interest in Yorkies and have rehomed many. Would it be worth sending a photo of Peppy to them, just in case?

I've emailed sister in Witney and friends in Abingdon. Hang in there Sharron. When Angel was taken, a client of ours told us about her rottie pup which was chipped. She was reunited after 2 years when he was picked up as a stray having escaped from somewhere. As soon as your chap is scanned YOUR name will come up.

If Peppy was 5 months when lost then the age should be altered on the posters- about 11 months now ?? this would make a big difference to anyone seeing a similar dog around this age.

Hope you managed to get your friends dog scanned. Most vets will do it for you too when they first register new pet. Should be first place to visit after purchase. Still hoping for something on Peppy to come up, probably by a new owner buying her and visiting a vet eventually. Lets hope its soon. As you will see from Jaynes post at the bottom of the page, Police not always helpful. Don't forget to ask people to keep a poster in their car windows. Sue x

cant belive this,went to local police station with a close friend as she brought a dog,to check if it was micro chipped as the people she got her from were weird!NOT ONE IN THE AREA HAD A SCANNER!I ASKED ABOUT THE FOLLOWING STATIONS =WAS AT ABINGDON POLICE STATION AT THE TIME,THE OTHERS I ASKED ABOUT WERE WITNEY,DIDCOT,WALLINGFORD,OXFORD,NEWBURY,THAME ECT,was told that the local dog warden scans the animals when they collect them as police dont like to hold them for more than a couple of hours!thought the idea of chipping was that all police staions had scanners!ANYWAY no news on peppy as of yet!will keep looking till we find her and bring her home to where she belongs!!please please could everyone poster for us as well!!!!many thanks sharron and family

I have heard on the grapevine that there is a stray dog in the Great Western Park area of Didcot. I do not know if there is any truth in this but it was described as a Yorkshire Terrier. I will keep an eye out in the area.

I'm confused (dosnt take a lot!). I have been mailed about Peppy as I live in OX11 area but it appears that she was taken from Slough area. Please could someone confirm where we should be looking. What information is known about the person that took her? Was the person seen?, if so, description? What time of day? From where? House or garden? etc These need asking to get the best possible help from sightings etc. Thanks

Don't know if it's anything to do with them, but there are some gypsy's in Burnham at the moment, which is a stone's throw from Slough. They were in Eton last week. They are on Priory Road next to Burnham Park.

Owner still having trouble sending the photo through. Is there anyone in the Didcot area that would be able to help them? We really need to make this sweet girl "too hot to handle"... So we really need a photo. Can anyone help please?

So sorry to hear about PEPPY. There are just too many Yorkies going missing at the moment. It may be a coincidence, but Lottie (JRT) was reported missing in Feb 06 from the same postcode. I might be worth comparing the details. Hope they are both home soon. Cheryl

Terrible that this very young puppy has been stolen from his family. A totally thoughtless and cruel thing to do both to Peppy and his new family. Hope Peppy is found safe and well very soonxxxx

I am so amazed at the amount of information you got about the thief. Does the owner know him? Did the owner see this man take the puppy from his home? If so the police must act, get the crime number as soon as poss. If they refuse to investigate write a letter with complaint to the top man at your police station. That should get them going. the police wonder why nobody has time for them these days it is little wonder when they act on the side of the villian most of the time its time they took notice that our pets are our family and we want them back and if they were to take notice others would not see them as a easy target. AWW How awful how come there is so many cruel ARSEHOLES in the world i mean whats the world coming to its on a puppy so are many others on puppies if you ask me they all want the nuts chopping off and thier hands. I hope Peppy is reunited with her famliy ASAP!! I mean Im only a 16 but I and my famliy are ANIMAL LOVERS (best way to be) and i also help out with the locall animal rescue when they can be bothered to do something!

Oh how awful! What is it with the damn police? Why are they always so unhelpful - this is far worse than having a possession stolen yet they take that more seriously. I hope little Peppy is home very soon. Stay safe until you are found sweetheart xxxx

Once a photo is up and running I will put a photo in my car as I travel through Slough and Colnbrook, Staines on my way to work. Will also email to my friends in Langley. When will police treat this as a crime and not another burden on filling out paperwork!!

Peppy belongs to a sick 2 year old child who the father was tending to whilst the theif stole the dog. Police are being less than helpful-Where have we heard that before about Slough police? Ah yes Marley the reunited EBT whose owner had to pay ?1,000 reward.
