Just spoken to Gracie's owner to see where to look this afternoon, and she's been found!!!! She was by The Plough & Sail in Snape, so looks like she was trying to get home. Phew. Great news!!!!

SORRY FORGOT TO PUT JULIE FROM APPLEDOWN'S NUMBER ITS 01525 220383. ITS BEDFORDSHIRE. APPLEDOWN IS A SMALL RESCUE THAT ALL LOCAL FOLK ALL KNOW AND LOVE.....SEE MY POST BELOW RE SCENTING ETC AND THIS TEL NO GOES WITH THAT POST......COME HOME GRACIE XX
Unknown
good news...but now you do need scenting advice as she is frightened and after 3 days dogs go feral out as Gracie is...so she will no longer behave as a little doggie at home.....ask dog lost co-ord about OWL EVEN IF SHE CANT COME OUT WITH HER DOG SHE WILL GIVE ADVICE...YOU NEED TO GO TO WHERE SHE WAS SEEN AND PUT STUFF DOWN THIS evening...OLD SOCKS HOOOVER DUST THEN GO BACK REALLY EARLY...she probably wont move far now if this was close. if you cant get hold of that lady ring JULIE from Appledown kennels..its Beds but she does this for local lost dogs and will tell you what to do, using a crate over evenings etc...best you hear it from her...make sure you specifically speak to her and ring before 5. Also say to her cld u have her mobile as if you do see Gracie she will talk you through what to do..ie no eye contact, no quick movements, not loads of people around, high value treats, lead with slip so you can get it over her head........ etc...say you have heard that she helped get Ssha back (she was a rescue from them and went off and Julie talked her owner through it when we hd located her)..you can always send her a donation
Rubybella
You WILL find her. She is obviously staying close. If I could, I would come to the forest and help you but it's just not possible until Saturday. Do you have a squeaky toy or something she would recognise the sound of ?
Have you contacted the 2 houses in the middle of the Tunstall forest ? Could you cycle around the forest as you would cover a larger area quicker than you can walking ?
Fingers crossed she is back with you soon.

Another sighting for yesterday has come in, this time at Sangalls Picnic Site, in Tunstall Forrest, which is not far from the other sighting, but she ran off into the trees. Posters have gone up all round the forrest, three Livery yards in the area, and small slips of paper with telephone numbers have been left. Tunstall post man has been informed. It is going in the paper tomorrow.I'm feeling more hopeful now that we know that she could be in the area still. The trouble is, Tunstall Forrest is big and she could get into Rendlesham Forrest as well. Thanks for the suggestions. Please keep them coming

The information that I have is that a dog was seen West side of no 31 yesterday morning. It makes sense that it could be Gracie, as it's not too far from where she went missing if you walk over the Common and through the Forrest. We have put some posters out and we will be putting more out today, round the forrest, Orford, Snape, Tunstall garage already has one, and Eyke shop who has lots of visitors.
Tunstall Livery is a good idea, will do that today. The warden has been contacted and Suffolk Animal Rescue, also wardens in other areas of Suffolk, and they have all taken Gracie's details. Yes, she did have a collar and tag on. Thank you for looking Shirando. Lets hope today is the day. She has been out alone for two nights, which is too much for a young pup. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
Rubybella
Sorry to hear that Gracie has gone missing.
Have you given posters to Snape Maltings to put up, also give them to all the 3 pubs in Snape as particularly the Crown is frequented by the local farming community.
I would also give a poster to Tustall livery as they often ride out into the forest and around the common. Why not print off small bits of paper with your mobile on so they can take them out with them and contact you there and then if they spot her.
Hope this helps. We will be up there in a weeks time and will search then but hopefully you will have been found by then.

The wardens tel no is 01394 388431 suffolk coastal dog warden which is same code as blaxhall common is 01394 44 40 00 hope this helps also try local rescues. she's wearing a collar in the pic does she have a dog disc on it with your name and tel no please post on here as all info helps
Unknown
hi hope this helps but you need toget out where you think she may be at frst light and tread quietly as she may be sleeping in undergrowth,,dogs who run off often rise early and scavenge and hide...so no overloud calling but try scenting stuff and lay a trail...hooover dist old socks. You need to get dog lost posters out absolutely everywhere not just where she went missing but in supermarket car parks where people will go and it will raise awareness, in vets, pets at home bus stops. i did 400 at 7am recenly with my springer when a local dog went missing,,,arm yourself and get friends with posters and sellotape...dont have to be coloured pics black and white are fine....she may not go to anyone immediately so get people to carry spare slip leeds to loop over her head and tasty treats..contact highways agency and rail track if railway line close by an dog warden for your area. good luck x

Thank you Shirando for going out to search for Gracie. I have bumped her page due to this possible sighting, hopefully this is Gracie and she will be home very soon x
Shirando
I have just driven up from Sudbourne to the Iken crossroads, turned left along the road leading to the Tunstall/Snape Road, but no sign of her. I will drive around the forest tomorrow.
juliek
A dog been sighted in Tunstall Forrest, near Iken today. Someone has gone up there to look. If they don't find her, I'll post more details when she gets back.
juliek
She went missing on the Blaxhall side of the common, a little further down from the house on Snape straight. No, there have been no sightings at all that we know of. Thanks for looking. Tonight will be her second night out, and she is only 8 months old. Tomorrow we will widen the search.
carol
Have there been any sightings at all??
Cassie
Any idea please, whereabouts she went missing on Blaxhall Common? Is she familiar with the area? Will go looking this afternoon.
