Well said Bo. You do a great job and SDK do too. Hannah is great and if they just assumed he was a PBT they would have informed police. His breed is on his chip. Some are perfectly legal.

The cut and paste (as above) does still work but it's retrieving from archive. Easier if ONE nominated person rings Hannah to ask on Monday morning - suggest we know who that is as they are busy and won't be interested in a pile of people ringing up.
My very first post says this dog is registered. The SDK DW may not be pitbull experts and not think to look if he is tattooed - I assume they will have scanned him, his breed etc will pop up, they then put on their site.
I've put over 1000 dogs on here from cross transferring his year from SDK and more than happy if someone else wants to take over - just let me know. I can then heckle from the wings.

His page is still up and running on SDK - it states he was collected at 22.49 on 30th July. Let's hope he's okay. Perhaps the owner will confirm. Concerned that if he's a registered pittie, he should be tattooed..............

Thank you. Perhaps if that information had been given, then concerns might have been limited. There have been dogs on Dl and elsewhere which have wrongly been described. I do know the protocol regarding dogs of 'type'.

This dog is a legally registered microchipped Pitbull terrier. If he wasn't he would be registered as breed TBC and in police kennels having been taken away for the DLO to make a decision.

Can the breed please be removed from this dog - it isn't going to help him should further investigations take place - or any other lost/found to which this description is added. This photograph gives totally the wrong impression because of the angle it is taken from - look at the other picture on SDK's page. Dogs don't stand a chance when they are designated 'type' in losts and founds....

Just rung the dog warden to check if the owner has been found as I was concerned due to him being a pit bull. The owner has been found & she'll update the website :)
