- Message received this morning as to results from vets of those tested.
Confirmation of one dog the JRT was inconclusive. The other dog possible cause heat stroke, symptoms heavy fitting before collapsing never regained consciousness. The 3rd- labradoodle- was buried with no examination.
Although all three dogs had been exercised in cottone lane Dartford prior to falling ill and dying.
Sorry cannot give a more def cause just relaying information as given.
However if heat stroke was one cause it shows the need to be aware of this during the hot weather we have had, - 2014-08-02 23:20 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh

- Any chance you can be more specific on areas as DA1 is quite large. I walk my dog in this area and he's a scrounger, so quite concerned, especially as he's been sick today! Looks like I'll be buying muzzle tomorrow 😞

- Oh poor babies ..... my heart goes out to their families.
Makes you wonder whether the council have been out spraying weedkillers atound the area , or rat bait has been put out..? Awful x - 2014-08-01 08:41 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!!
Warning to dog owners Dartford especially DA1 areas. In past 6 days 3 dogs have died suddenly after a walk.
A 4 year old Akita- 1 year old Jack russel and a 6 year old labradoodle.
Awaiting vets reports but sounds like a poisoning. Do not let dogs off lead or eat anything they may find on a walk- also check gardens for anything that maybe thrown over fences- need to watch out till this is sorted!!!!
Our sympathies go out to these owners whose dogs literally died suddenly with them.
