JACK IS HOME!!! Jack escaped for the second time on Thursday 14.08.14 from Westhoughton, BL5 area. We had reports of where he was, and a trap was set up tonight, where myself, Paula and Marilyn did the drag trail, and sat and waited. Literally 15 minutes later, he made an appearance. It took him a while to get the confidence to go in, but in he went! I have never seen 3 women run so fast! After he had calmed down slightly, we then took him back home to Marjorie, and he soon settled in a bed. As lovely as he is, I do not want to see him on here again! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped in the search, postering, leafleting and sharing his poster. Also a BIG thank you to the lovely family who let us camp out at their house :) Welcome home Jack, be happy xxx

Absolutely delighted to report Jack has been found this morning. He had found shelter in a ladys garage on Wigan Road, Westhoughton, not too far from where he escaped. The lovely lady fed and watered him, and kept him secure until owners came to collect him.

Marjorie is still in hospital, but I have spoken to her, and she cannot thank everyone enough for their help and support.

I have uploaded a reunited photo - you may need to refresh the page to view it.

Welcome back Jack, hope you are very happy in your new home xxx

Thank you Alison x

Edy is coming from London today, Jack knows him, so he's going to walk round with one of the other dogs who has come from Romania.

If anyone sees Jack, please can you contact Marjorie by phone, text or Facebook, with the location and time. Marjorie can then direct Edy to the last sighting.

All crossed for good news today xx
AlisonH
Just had a phone call from a lady who has seen Jack twice today. He was in Parkway and heading towards Hindley road on both occasions. I have passed the message on to the owners.
DogLostClaire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
Thank you for the update Paula 😊 it's great that he's staying in the area, Marjorie and all you helpers are doing a great job! Being so nervous, it might take that little longer, but keep doing what you are all doing, build his trust up, and he will soon home. I can't wait to see this little fella safe 😊 x
Paula Marie
Jack was sighted by myself around 11.55 am on Drake Hall and then made his way onto Lower Drake Fold and then lost sight, also sighted by others on Hindley Rd, New Drake Green and corner of Lower Drake fold opposite bungalow. Thought he may have been making his way back to the bungalow, but no sight of him. Good that he is staying in the area and making visits to the bungalow, hopefully just a matter of time, plenty smelly food and patience before Jack is safe.

COPIED FROM FB ABOUT 30 MINS AGO:

Had first very fleeting glipse of the elusive JACK about an hour ago as I was starting to come home! He was opposite Marjorie's bungalow ... but he disappeared like a flash. So at least he's staying near - perhaps he wants to be with the dogs he came over with ... so he needs to be enticed into the stable yard where he can be contained ... sounds easy but it's NOT! Whilst he's wandering the estate there's nowhere really to contain him - virtually no back gardens are accessible to him ... I so want a happy ending soon for him ...!!!

Come on Jack - you have a lovely home waiting for you - show your little face xxx

CROSS POSTED comment not long left on fb:

looks like a dog that's walked past mine about 45mins ago but sure it had lots tan on it it had collar on which was quite long where it hadn't been tucked in properly,. it seemed really friendly but my dog barked n scared it off as it was coming towards me.was in Isabella square not sure if it ran towards scholes precinct way or towards Tesco as couldn't see it when it went round corner.

MAZ
Quite a few sightings during the afternoon (one person saw him 4 times) but every time he just vanishes immediately ... very frustrating ... but he's keeping fairly near to where he went missing from and where his friends he came with are ... think he needs to get lured in by them somehow ...
Paula Marie
Only left the area a couple of hours ago after putting up posters.
Fingers crossed this boy is soon safe and warm.
