He is still missing. We still have his son, but i will always wonder what happened to him, i always thought microchipping would have brought him back to me.

Thanks witchy, for replying promptly. Do you know what Eddie is crossed with? He looks like a GSD/Doberman to me. Hopefully one day he will turn up in a vets and get scanned. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks to everyone still looking. I always look out for him wherever i am. It's been a tough year but i'm always hoping he'll appear home. If anyone thinks they see someone with him, don't be afraid to ask the person where they got their dog from. XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dunno whether to say this or not but back in June I saw two women walking dogs past the edinburgh Ikea. One looked similar to your dog. Unfortunately I was driving a van at the time and by the time I got parked they had gone. I didnt want to say cos I was unsure and Loanhead is quite a way from Coatbridge but since there have been no sightings, thought I would mention it. Dont want to cause any upset but if you need any more info PM me. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi mate, so sorry to here your getting hassle off these, can't think of a name bad enough. Any chance you can 1471 them and get the number. I gonna find out if Scotland have a doglost co ordinator and see if they can help track them, to put your mind at rest if nothing else. If Eddie was found in a bad way then i know you've done everything you can to find him and it's not, in any way, your fault. He's loved by you even now and i'm sure he knows it. Stay strong. Hey, hey Eddie's back in the lime light yay!! Hope you've still got your chin up Aud he's out there waiting i know it. I took Murf to a new vet today and did they scan him to check he was mine did they chuff! Time to the do the rounds again with the faithful posters and get him back in everyone's mind espeicially vets with bad screening processes. What about that park your mom thought she saw him at ages ago? Did that come to anything is it a big enough place he could be hiding out there. Or even places where you find homeless people. I know it's sounds stupid but my local big issue vendor says he's forever having dogs latching on and ends up taking them round with for a while til they wander again? I know it's a long shot but any shot is worth it right? I really, really am hoping for you guys to have a reunited soon. Keep the faith honey. It's time for Eddie to go blue. Love from me and Murfs as always Dani xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hey hon, ok let's go through it again so we can find the little rascal. I've emailed and searched pictures on all local pet finds and i keep a good eye on the lost and found at the dog pages. Have you tried radios or newspapers see if any of them would run the story? We have some thing called petsearch round here who have a radio spot every other day to update on missing pets. Have you postered every where? Supermarkets (i know there not always helpful) buses, taxi ranks, clubs and pubs, park entrances. As far out as you can cus my little 'angel' went over 35 miles. Also have you contacted the chip people and is he insured. You need to check the chip peoples details just in case for peace of mind more than anything. And if he is insured, although it's normally premium policy only, you can get money towards finding him. Ring round as many vets as you can find in the yellow pages and let them all know he's missing presumed picked up by now so they start to scan dogs that are new to the practice. And i hate to write this but get in touch with the railways and council to see if they have any dogs found dead. Sorry mate i know it's awful, but i had to put it. I'll start the email process all over again this afternoon. I'm gonna go walk murf in a minute with some local dog nutters so i'll see if they have any other ideas. How close are you to the border i'm not good on scottish geography. Could he have been taken into the north of england? Here's hoping for blue soon, chin up he's out there waiting for you to find him xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

On days when I can't get to the various kennels I always check www.scottishspca.org website as they list a lot of their dogs for rehoming here! Also send posters to schools, police stations, vets and pet shops if you can along with a poster in local large carparks. Someone somewhere knows something, so don't give up! I've just done a postal to all surrounding farms for my boy including the local agricultural market, so here's hoping! The trick is to not let folk forget! Its early days for Eddie, so keep strong and retrace your steps on his last walk as much as possible. If he's in the area, he may pick up your scent? XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hey sorry you haven't found Eddie yet. I know how you feel my dog Murf went missing on the 17th and we've had no sightings, nothing. Like he ped off the face of the earth. If a dead animal is found they do scan them, but don't even think it. Keep ringing the kennels and visit if you can because the sad truth is they get more money if he's rehomed and some kennel owners think that way. My fingers are crossed for you and Eddied to be back together soon. I work at Asda Tamworth and my place wouldn't even put up a photo! Unless you own a dog you just don't see it in the same light. Hi Witchy. I had the same problem with Tesco and Somerfield, but because I looked pathetic they put a poster up in their staff rooms for me! Better than nothing I suppose?! Try your smaller local shops, newsagents and lottery outlets in particular. They tend to be more public spirited and not ruled by Big Brother! :-) Also try petrol stations and ask if you can put posters on the pumps? If you haven't done so, send posters to the dog wardens aswell coz they really don't give you any feedback unless you badger them! The warden for Lanarkshire doesn't even keep a register of dogs found, which is pretty appalling! I told the HO of the SSPCA in Edinburgh about this, so it may well be better now!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
