Male Yorkie on dogpages found in Grantham. Not neutered and not chipped but with collar and good condition. Finder has checked local area nad no-one seems to know him so may be from outwith. Pic on site http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=155701

sorry might not make sense but can you remember what the night was like he went missing was it pouring down with ran ?? really horrible evening ? ? and is he weary of anyone ?? was he a scaredy dog very nervous of strangers ? x

This little dog is the type that someone would pick up and keep so you must cover the surrounding area with lots of posters to make Simba too hot for someone to keep . .keepng fingers crossed for you . Chrisx

Have now put advert in Adtrader.co.uk should be in within 24 hours and Dogpages.org.uk today. so have now put you in at least 5 papers . OK Some will come to my email address and/ or phone number but will contact you if I get any onfo . Chrisx

kira that's rubbish... they have to keep a book recording all reported dogs missing and found. Only when they've done that do they get passed to Battersea for collection.

Hope we get some good news soon now some adverts about, print off lots of posters and put them every where people go , shops ,garages ,petshops ,vets ,taxi drivers ,bin men postmen ,milkmen, Keep phoning the police and the dog wardens , all the rescues, check with the councils road cleaning service in case of an accident ,library and schools, Good luck if I can help in any other way please PM me Chrisx

I have them today and will work on them later on - am at work at the moment - in the meantime please can you ask around to see whether your neighbours would buy either the South London Press or the News Shopper? We need to decide which paper to place the ad in.

Kira your dog warden can be found at Greenwich Council - they'll only work Monday to Friday though. I believe for your area they are actually called Animal Wardens.

Kira - the legal obligation is on you to find him, not for the rescues to hand him back to you - even if they scan and find his details they do not have to call you - but in practice, they do do so. However, none of them mind you calling just to check, and it keeps Simba fresh in their minds.

kira - have a look on www.dogpages.org.uk - they list the majority of rescue centres on their site. Some have email contact lists too. In your area, it is likely that Simba will be taken to Battersea or even perhaps to Foal Farm at Biggin Hill. Less likely too that he'll go to the Mayhew but worth checking with them and also with Celia Hammond Animal Trust - more east london though.

What an adorable face Simba has, really good for a poster. Great that he has been chipped. Postering really works, ask your postman is s/he would put A5 mini posters through letterboxes to cover more ground. Hope he is safely reunited with his family very soonxxx
