- Thanks Joanie. I still can't understand what is going on here myself. Or why? But we will investigate further if necessary. Thanks.

- They are working with both the police and RSPCA to bring this woman to justice. Is very worrying that she has moved on to operating on social media. She has a few aliases inc Angel and Crystal and drives a green jeep. She will always operate from car parks and caravan parks never her home. Phone number is now a foreign sim we think. She is attracted to Free to good home ads...look like she is now targeting lost pets.So perhaps a bit of caution may prevent more misery. Last edited: 2014-08-30 09:10:32 by Joanie

- This "stolen" dog was placed on here in good faith. Thanks to dog lovers who have circulated this, we now have an outcome. DogLost is a missing dog site listing thousands of dogs. Sometimes incorrect contact numbers get listed; sometimes people do not have photos; a number of elderly folk cannot use the internet. We are all volunteers helping this site with our own money, time and kind donations. Many of us worked hard at trying to find Millie and if there was a scam going on, then DogLost has been a victim too. Perhaps Joanie would be able to speak to the police about whoever she feels is responsible for this? I certainly haven't a clue about what has gone on here but we won't risk not listing dogs in case the report is false. It will come to light, as this one has. So very glad Millie is safe and sound. Thank you to everyone who rallied round to help. x Last edited: 2014-08-29 22:08:40 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Yes Hazel it is good that Milly is safe..but a lot of stress and problems have been caused for the lovely charity people because of these posts..which are still on Twitter. It is very irresponsible as which charity it was was obvious to locals. They could have had real trouble from vigilante types. They posted this story with no name, no contact number or photo!

- A huge relief to hear that this little girl is safe and lovely to hear she has a new furever home xx

- The last post was correct and not odd either that the kind person reporting it is well known in the area and had sold her another dog! She puts ads around the area suggesting that she is a charity and re homes ( pets she has "rescued" from vulnerable people) for large sums frequently with false papers.
She would have promised to return Milly ..but sold her on.
Would have been good if in future you check with the local police before posting these reports. Surely a false telephone number was a clue?Last edited: 2014-08-29 17:24:02 by Joanie - 2014-08-29 13:33 CopperM
- Not odd if the original owner has dementia and can't remember what has happened and why... (My assumption!)
Glad to know dachsie rescue was involved. - 2014-08-29 12:06 Angel
- Glad it appears the little dog is actually in a legitimate rescue home but who reported her stolen then? Very odd.

- Have spoken to the charity shop and the ladies niece ...this dog has not been stolen but was given to the paws shop as the lady could not cope with her. She then went to Daxi rescue where she was rehomed. The police have been to see this lady several times and are aware of the situation. So please pass on that She is in a legitimate new home.

- This was the number given, so we'll have to share this little one far and wide to see if we can get the right people who know owner. We especially need this shared in this postcode as someone should know this owner and get word out that we need the right telephone number.
