Just got home from tracking another dog and I am just so sorry for this little pup that had only just found her forever home. It was so frantic this morning trying to piece together the messages and everyone tried so hard for Bella. Run free little one - you were so sweet.

Lovely beagle people. I have just spoken to Leanne the owner of Bella. Bella was involved in a road traffic collision yesterday morning and it is with very heavy heart that Leanne has asked me to let you all know that she has gone over the rainbow bridge. She has been identified by one of my colleagues. Unfortunately when she was scanned the scanner failed to identify her. The incident was reported as an RTC so when the police were called about a dog it did not show up. Rest little Bella x I'm so sorry x

WE were down the camp this morning and the lady who released the dog was genuinely sorry that she had let Bella go. Lianne also been to the camp; WE HAVE JUST SPOKEN and plan to speak again at 3 I'm Charlotte

Someone from the camp said the police closed the road to move the dog but the police have no record of this.

Owner has and they wont do anything! One of our beagle members is there nearby and apparently police are in area so going to find them.

As owner said below - bella has been hit by a car and we are led to believe ran but it is outside a gypsy camp and they say she is dead. What does this tell you - owner is there on her own at moment, can anyone help. I have told her to call police.

Good Morning, Chris and I went out early this morning and searched the high street, retail park and ridgeway avenue area again, but no sign. Charlotte from Dog Lost has just called to say that she spoke to someone in Houghton Park who said they saw her tangled up in some bushes, but due to the lead thought she lived over the road and so let her go. She ran across the road, was hit by a car but got up and ran off. If anyone is in the Houghton Regis area today, please keep your eyes peeled, especially as it's likely she's now injured.

Hi, Chris and Lianne here, Bella's owners. Thank you for all your support and help tonight. We've informed both Central Bedfordshire and Luton Borough Council's customer service centres for incoming reports, dog warden services, both authorities' kennels, local vets and the micro-chipping company. We've been out looking for her tonight and flyered the area. We received a call after somebody saw one of the flyers to say that she was seen near the Sainsburys petrol station on Luton Road this morning, quite a bit further than our last sighting, so we headed up that way, checked the bushes, behind the food outlets and flyered there too. She is microchipped to us, the new owners. Yes, Ridgeway Avenue is near the Ewe and Lamb. Thank you again for your comments and help.

The most important thing is to print the posters and put them everywhere, on lampposts, outside schools, in supermarket car parks...just get a roll of sellotape and get out there...this raises awareness and it works...is Ridgeway ave near the ewe and lamb...FRIEND AND BOYS will do aldi car park and church at 7.30 in morning..please keep this dog lost site updated as it helps to work out if seen etc thanks... good luck!!

Just spoken to owner at last. Bella went missing at 7 this morning after returning from a walk. She bolted with extending lead still attached to collar and was chased after but owners lost sight. They have only had Bella a week and so she will not know the area. Stay safe little pup.
