I have looked around the area for posters & will continue to do so in the hopes I can locate the owner even with it meaning I am being the bearer of bad news, I Have been thinking that there is a chance the cat may be chipped, So I wonder when I contact the local vets tomorrow to leave info about this poor cat if they possibly would check for a Chip & even take the cat, It seems wrong to just leave it where it is for to much longer, I Know as an owner of a cat myself I would be out looking, So I Do not know what is best to do but if the cat is chipped then getting a scan check done if they would be glad to do one may help bring this poor cats family some closure, The cat looks to have been hit by a vehicle at high speed & passed over to the rainbow bridge instantly. RIP Poor kitty
