- This could be totally unrelated but thought it worth a mention - there were 2 small terriers loose on the St Helens / West Auckland A688 by-pass on Sunday lunch time (1st Sept) - one was JRT the other possibly lakeland/JRT x - The lakeland x was caught by a passing motorist and taken to safety (reported to police who did attend) but the other ran off very frightened and could not be caught - Difficult to describe the exact markings or sex of the JRT but white with brown/black eye patches - wondering if it is the same dog which was messaged on Durham Dogtheft Awareness Facebook page yesterday seen in fields alone and nervous between West Auckland and Tofthill.
