Bugs - I too had hoped to get to Brixton this weekend but unfortunately didn't make it that far, having been delayed due to torrential rain whilst trying to help move daughter out of her flat! Expect you have now located the Angel Estate but, just in case you haven't, I have discovered there is an Angell Road, an Angell Park Gardens and an Angell Town Estate, all in close proximity in SW9. Whether one or all of these are known locally as the Angel Estate, I have no idea as live some 40 miles away, but thought it worthwhile passing on. Have left some posters with my daughter just in case she is able to get to that area.

our son has was reunited with his staffie on sunday "MAZY" after going missing for 10 days don't give up hope, what is it with staffie's lots of them! posters posters everywhere we put them on car wind screens everywhere contact the local radio good luck hope he's home soon! xxxxx

ty remains missing, spoke to owner today and passed on info on site. ty believed tobeon the angel estate in brixton and was last seen there two months ago

silly Q but have you tried viking oaks i spoke to them today about our missing pup they said all they had in was 5 males and most were brindle and white the youngest being about 18months maybe worth a try

i have just seen on gumtree .com friday 25thmarch think page 5 or six that a male brindle puppy has been found in brixton on sunday founders have still dog and there is a number , only thing is cant be sure on age but worth llooking anyway xxx

Once again i am not really near these areas but i cant stand to see any more dogs getting took.........it makes me so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will keep an eye out distinguishing marks on neck good luck dont give up hope my friends staffie went missing for some weeks and was found safe n well admitidly at a 'gypsy' camp! but dog warden managed to get him coz he was out on street so please dont give up xxx love sharon and Benson the SBT xx

The medway trains sometimes run through Brixton - could anyone travelling that way leave a few posters on the trains? Not sure if Maidstone ones also do the same up to the City?

I can't believe Star and the other dog has been found :o) it's amazing!!! i'm so happy for the owners! although i'm still out looking for Ty and making all the calls I need to, i kinda thought well it's been 4 weeks now and i don't think i'm ever gonna see him again... then i got a call from a lady who's name i didn't get saying that she had found Star :o) it gave me some hope again. What was the name/area of your dog? i'll print off some posters and put them up in my area. Still thinking about Ty and hope that he is safely reunited with his family soon. If he has been sold on or taken in, then he might be taken to dog obedience classes, so worth contacting as many as you can in your area. Also worth contacting any agility and flyball classes that are held in your area too. Might also be worth widening your seach area a bit and sending a poster to more vets, just in case someone tries to have him chipped. As Ty is so distinctive a vet is more likely to remember him. Hope he is home soonxxxx

I have spoken to Maidstone Branch RSPCA as I work for them. Sometimes people call us to take in strays so we will keep our eyes peeled. Also my advice would be to call Viking Oaks every day and visit there as often as possible to check if Ty is there and make them aware that he is not just Brindle but that he has quite unusual markings on his neck and chest. Good Luck and I hope he is back soon.

thanks for all your support and good wishes about Ty.it's good to know there are still some good people out there!! I had a call from a lady who said she thinks she may have seen him in Boxley hill - pilgrims way. she said he was watching the traffic and then he went off into the fields... so we drove straight there (calling after him) we was looking for ages but didn't spot him (if it was him) i asked around and one of the shop keepers said she thinks she may have seen him as well but she thought he was just one of the dogs that lives around there. I've put posters up and went door to door posting leaflets i've made just in case he is spotted again. obviously i don't know for sure if it is Ty or not but you've got to follow every lead. have you had any calls about little Star yet?? this has probably been said before but we took posters to the local sorting offices. The posties know every dog and new dog on their rounds and were very helpful when H was lost.

When my dog went missing I had a rule-if the surface stays still for 5 seconds then thats long enough to get a poster up! All local buses,cars anything-so long as you are not commiting criminal damage just act of passion! Remember your best way of advertising is the back and side windows of your car. The golden rule is NOT to staple posters to trees!

staffy girl, when my dog went missing we put them on lamp posts dog bins, telegraph poles, trees, bus shelters, we even put them in telephone boxes. when my dog came home i went out and took some of them down (left some as my dog looks a lot like cefar). i think when a dog goes missing the official people don't mind that much. i think its when its bill posters they take them down. does that help???

Can I just ask, how do I stand legally with putting up posters on lamp-posts etc., I live just up from Brewer Street, & my son is in Danny's (Star's owner) class at school. What on earth is going on round here are people taking dogs or are they getting out? Will put more posters up around the area. Does anybody have any contacts within the KM so that we can get a regular spot for 'doglost'. Also Tescos at Grove Green were very helpful and put posters up of Star and Cefar for me. Have we any idea which way Ty went?

Ty is a very handsome Staffie, with such heart melting soft expression. Postering really can work wonders, so make Ty as hot as possible and contact your local vets, ask your local postman to deliver A5 mini posters, poster bus shelters, near schools, pet supermarkets and anywhere where dogs are regularly walked. Fingers crossed Ty is safely home very soonxxxx
