- Rosie is one brave, clever girl, to stay safe & close to Karen & Sammie for so long, then to head north to Reynard & Imoore. Just brilliant news & in time for the owners 55th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow! Together you all worked so hard, am proud of all you achieved. I had the great pleasure of meeting Rosie briefly this afternoon having a gentle, well earned pamper!

- Yes we are all happy that Rosie was sat in the trap this morning! :) It was a great team effort and with the help of the farmer & sadly an already dead sheep that Rosie was interested in! Rosie had traveled over 40 miles in a month to reach our area (Swindon and North Wiltshire Doglost group) & had had fantastic support & practical help in Rosies area where she went missing from, with Helper: County Pet Services & Volunteer Sammie & Rosies fab lovely Mum Joan x.
Its a fantastic team effort helping to Reunite Lost dogs and we ALL should be proud of what we do x Last edited: 2014-10-03 12:53:59 by Reynard - 2014-10-02 11:22 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh

- 2014-10-01 08:17 Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer
- I hope by Sammie and myself posting further afield we get a sighting, we just need to know where she is now.
- 2014-09-30 22:25 Sammie
- No sightings reported since the lady posted in the very early hours of Saturday morning saying she had seen her.
County Pet Services (Karen) and I have been monitoring the FB pages where there had been posts but nothing. Lilybear checked with Wilts police to see if there had been any calls about a dog fitting Rosie's description but there had been none logged as of last night.
Karen and I have started to join FB groups in the neighbouring towns where she was last sighted incase anyone posts that they see a loose dog (as Rosie must have travelled a min of 34 miles so far, she could easily move again).
- 2014-09-28 13:18 Reynard
- Thanks Poochpal thats great! X
I'm also hoping it was this Sat but sighting has not been confirmed I believe ?
Owners have been to Chisledon location Sunday as did lMoore and postered
No more confirmed sightings but Rosie does tend to travel a lot doing many miles in between!

- I have tried to adjust so that it shows on the poster, you may be better copy and pasting onto a word document then deleting the words not needed. I hope I have the correct date for the latest sighting and that it was not the Saturday before.
- 2014-09-28 09:07 Reynard
- Can admin please update the latest sightings to add Chisledon (so it prints on the poster) ?
Can anyone help put up Posters in the Chisledon area please?
They are shooting (Clays) up on Barbury Castle today so may deter her going that way Last edited: 2014-09-28 11:41:00 by Reynard - 2014-09-28 09:07 lmoore - Area Volunteer, Wiltshire

- I am very near this place and know exactly where they mean for the sighting. I can go out early in the morning and drive all the roads around there .Will also check the old railway line footpath that runs parallel with the road at this point. there is a disused gypsy camp right near where she was seen so will check that out too.

I saw this dog. Early hours of Saturday morning. We were driving along chiseldon to marlb road she was on the side of the road walking towards the garage we turnt the car around and did find her again but she ran through a bush into the field we could not get through the hedge! - I have driven through Upavon to Pewsey, put posters up in Pewsey in Spar, garage and Royal Oak pub, worker in the pub saw Rosie on Sunday morning on road from Pewsey to Burbage at 9.30am he was positive it was the same dog as in the picture, I then drove to Burbage and then back the same way to Upavon.

- 2014-09-25 08:30 Sammie
- We have now had two calls from people saying they have seen her heading out of Marlborough heading towards Pewsey, so possibly the Ludgershall one was another dog. The two sightings fit in with the previous sighting of her near Burbage on Sunday.
- 2014-09-24 22:30 Sammie
- Karen from County Pet Services has received some calls with sightings of a dog, but we cannot be 100% sure all of them are her as some are wide apart ranging from the one yesterday in Ludgershall to one up near Malborough yesterday evening. To cover all angles the owners have been to Malborough to poster.
- 2014-09-23 23:52 Sammie
- This afternoon I spent 3 hours in ludgershall, and this evening the owners were going over there but no more sightings as yet. Where she was seen this morning is extremely close to a rail crossing but the track is hardly used at all, and possibly owned by the MOD as the end of the track is all fenced off in MOD land.

- Sigted Sunday about 4pm on A338 near Burbage Wilts heading back towards Collingbourne Kingstone. SN8 This is 4-5 miles even as the crow flies from last sighting, so she is covering a great distance. People said she was travelling very fast in the middle of the road, lots of people stopped to try and catch her but she got away.

- Sighting fri 7am near Biddesden Farm (near Ludgershall)
- 2014-09-21 11:30 Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer
- Rosie was seen Friday morning at 7am at Biddesden by the large manor house and farm, the lady was riding her horse at the time and said she was running fast. She will speak with all the people at the horse yard, apparently they feed the yard cats daily, so will check and see if more food than usual is going missing and will check all the old barns, this sighting was very close to the last one so hopefully she has found a food source and is staying put, they will watch to see if she comes in for food. I will take posters up that way later today.
- 2014-09-20 23:28 Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer
- Apparently there was another sighting on Wednesday at 2.30 at the tank crossing on the Ludgershall road in the dip where she was sighted at 8pm that night, Sam and I were there at 8.30ish and walked down the tank crossing looking, it seems she is staying in the same are, but no sighting since Thursday, I have shared again on Andover, Tidworth, Ludgershall and horse and dog facebook pages, hopefully someone will come forward with another sighting.
- 2014-09-20 20:28 Sammie
- Tonight Karen from CPS has spent 3 hours continuously driving and searching to cover a wide area (as her sightings are spread out) but no sign of her. Her owners were also there tonight searching. On a positive note more people know about her being missing.Last edited: 2014-09-20 20:29:52 by Sammie

- Late this afternoon I went and dropped posters at the petrol garage, the repair garage where the man works who spotted her (and left food with them) and put posters up at the truck lay by where there is sometimes a burger van. I then too walked the length of the track.
As this sighting is a few miles from the last one, and now probably 12-15 miles from where she went missing from a feeding station is not appropriate until she settles in one area. Everything is ready and in place if we need to cook, lay out some of her owners clothing etc. We just need to keep her from bolting further away. - 2014-09-19 17:25 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
- Is there a feeding station set up? If not please try and think of a suitable safe location where she is being sighted.
- 2014-09-19 12:59 Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer
- Rosie was seen at 7.15pm yesterday on the ludgershall road just past the Texco garage, they tried to catch her and almost did then she bolted down a dirt track towards Appleshaw, I have today driven the whole ludgershall road giving out leaflets and walked the track I also left a flyer at the Appleshaw pub and with some local farms and medical center.Last edited: 2014-09-19 13:15:08 by Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer

- Karen from County Pet Services and myself met with the owner this evening at the last sighted position (although no new sightings today).
The food we left last night was still there, and no sign of her. There had just been a massive storm with lots of thunder and lightening, and there were a lot of army maneuvers going on. Karen checked if we could go on the tank tracks by the sighting last night as there was a no admittance sign and it was a definate NO. So this does limit what areas we can search on.
tonight we split into 3 groups, one owner staying by the car with the boot open, Karen took the other owner off in a 4x4, and I walked with my dogs.
The owners live an hour away and will return Saturday, I am away until Monday but Karen will follow up any sightings. If anyone is local to the area and happy to help search please let us know.Last edited: 2014-09-18 22:36:08 by Sammie - 2014-09-18 19:19 Lilybear

- 2014-09-17 23:27 Sammie
- Both myself and Karen from County Pet Services went out to ludgershall, found Parade Square, which I thought would be sign posted but actually its a disused Army area and probably only known by that name by locals!
once there we did a bit of cooking, left some food and water and walked some tank tracks (as the tank tracks go from this point)but no sign of her.
- 2014-09-17 20:21 Lilybear
- Owner has just called, lady has sighted stray dog matching Rosie's description 'as you come into Tidworth, into the dip, opposite Wellington School in Parade Square' this was at approx 8pm this evening. Hoping that makes sense. Owners have been brilliant posting 30 posters and approx 60 flyers today. They are not local but committed to the search. Owner has saved all of Rosie's hair from her brush, her bedding etc should it be of use.

- This evening I went to where the sighting was on Tuesday eve at 6.30, but its a very fast country road. The person said she saw her near the Wilts/Hants sign near Great Snoddesdon but it is mainly open fields, woods and tank crossings there so nothing obvious. I did put a poster up in GS but the traffic will pass too quick to read it; I put some up in Perham Down as this is more populated. If it is the same dog as sighted on Monday, seen in and moving towards Ludgershall she could have moved on the same distance again and be some miles away.
I have checked both Spotted Ludgershall and Spotted Tidworth and no more posts of any sightings. - 2014-09-16 18:00 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex

- Am in touch with Sammie & County Pet Services who are brilliant, thank you both. Have emailed admin to request the poster be updated with the Owner & sons contact telephone numbers. They are very good and focused on the search for Rosie. They will print further posters/flyers so as to widen the search area in hope of new sightings. Have asked they plot them up with a time etc.
- 2014-09-16 15:51 Sammie
- As far as I am aware there was a lady who saw a dog running from Collingbourne, but the last sighting was at 6.30pm on Perham road just before Shoddesdon when someone tried to stop and catch it by getting her own dog out of the car, but the dog ran into bushes. The person said the dog looked fluffy and sweet, which is the right description for Rosie but 12 miles from the last sightings. So either she has moved a long way in a few days or there are two similar dogs out there.
If she has reached Shoddesdon It is SP11 and in Hampshire not Wiltshire so will email my DW as that would be his area.
She has been posted on Tidworth and Ludgershall FB sites hoping to try and get another sighting. - 2014-09-16 14:11 lmoore - Area Volunteer, Wiltshire
- The lady who posted on Spotted Tidworth has said she was heading towards Ludgershall

- sammie do you know which way she was heading when running from Collingbourne Just wondering if we could get ahead of her with posters up if anyone is local to that area please
- 2014-09-16 08:12 Sammie
- post from "spotted Tidworth states "Oh no this poor little thing was running from Collingbourne yesterday morning! Tried to stop it but couldn't" I am sure this must be the same dog and I wonder if this fete and lound speaker system in the village on Saturday made it bolt away from that area.
- 2014-09-15 23:38 Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer
- Sam and I went looking tonight, no more sightings in Upavon, however there has been a sighting of a grey small poodle looking dog between the Wellington academy and Tidworth, this is about 12 miles away and definitely sounded like her, sadly she ran off and was very scared, so we need to widen our search.
- 2014-09-15 23:28 AlisonH
- Extra alerts sent to SP11
- 2014-09-15 23:19 Sammie
- County Pet Services went to the area twice today and i joined her in the evening for almost 3 hours. No sign at all of her.
However on returning home I checked some messages I had been sent regarding a dog running loose near Perham Down & also seen in ludgershall. The description of the dog matches, and she was running scared so could well be here if she has used tank crossings to move cross country.
I think it would be benefical to widen the alerts to include SP11 - 2014-09-15 11:03 Lilybear
- County Pet Services is with Jessica now.

- Rosie is a Shitzu X Poodle, described as looking like a fluffy rabbit. She is 7-8yrs, very timid. Rosie is not local to area, is staying with a family in Upavon whilst owner away, she is wearing a fawn coloured collar with ID tag with current keepers details.
Rosie lost on a walk at 2pm, 06/09 at Chisenbury Mast – approx 1 mile east of Upavon Camp. Last seen running towards a disused farm/bungalow used by the army in a dip nearby.
Family caring for Rosie have notified all relevant agencies, DW, Police, Army, locals, dog walkers etc and will ring vets in the morning. They have been out searching with their dogs but no sightings today. Food and bedding left at place Rosie last sighted. Rosie likes the car so they return at regular intervals leaving boot open.
Doglost – please are you able to post a ‘similar photo’ of Rosie as no photo currently available. Thank you.
Family have no computer but are hoping to find help to enable posters to be printed and advice sheets to be shared.
