I walked out at Driffield yesterday to Poulton, saw the posters, didn't know this little one was missing, I have two dogs who are always picking up scents so I will definitely keep an eye out, had a good look yesterday for about an hour, I always have food on me and my phone and have noted the contact numbers. Really hope this little one is found.

Bumped due to a possible sighting down Charlham lane, between Ampney St Peter and Driffield
Goldenfarm
Just to let you know that we do still think of Meeko, and search around the area whenever we walk our dogs there, which is often. We really hope that someone, somewhere, has picked him up and is looking after him.
Mollychops
I met owner and did more postering today, and covered and added fresh ones to Preston, the Ampneys, Harnhill Driffield Countrywide stores and a few farms in isolated spots, Owner was going to do Cerney Wick later
Mollychops
Met up with owner again today, she is going to do another ad in the local paper and start postering further afield

Golden farm if you want to ring me my number can be given out via head offfice

We still go out regularly, hoping to find him. Can you tell us exactly where in Preston he was last sighted and what direction he was going. I know its a long time now but still hoping.

me n my girl - 76450 has now been reunited so not Meeko
DogLostMe N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
Found 76450 TR16 177 miles away, only description is black and grey, I thought dog warden was being carefull, so perhaps an uncommon breed. Worth a phonecall as not too many dogs of that colouring.
Mollychops
Thanks Golden Farm for searching . Owners are doing their utmost, rest assured . Its very frustrating as there haven't been any sightings now for a while . Its lucky he is chipped, but to have him scanned someone would have to pick him up, and I don't think he would let anyone
Goldenfarm
Noticed there are lots of "still missing" new posters about in Preston. We continue to search there and won't give up on him either. Have dog wardens and rescue centres and vets been checked regularly?
Mollychops
The sighted dog was larger , Collie sized
Mollychops
I will contact the co ord who was alerted to this, and try and speak to the person who reported the sighting Pamela.

There has been a dog reported deceased on the A419 central resevation close to Junction 11a of the M5. I am struggling to find anyone responsible for clearing the poor thing away. I am praying it is not Meeko but have to be realistic. If anyone lives near here would it be possible for you to drive by and see if the poor thing is still there. Please do this safely and do not stop and get out of your car.

Kind regards
Pamela Briggs x

We are still looking every day as we walk our dogs in that area. We crossed over at the tollbar and walked up the lane towards Siddington this morning in case he may have turned back towards home. As you say, it's hard when you don't know where else to search. Continue to be hopeful however, as there is a lot of habitation in the area, plenty of people around.
PAMELA B
Thank you everyone for your efforts and please continue. We desperately want Meeko home safe. There have sadly been no sightings since Sunday 28th September. We have put him in the standard last week but despite many attempts for some reason cannot get him put on spotted Cirencester!! If anyone has any connections with the admin for Spotted Cirencester could they please have a word with them. I will be out walking again tomorrow but without a sighting its becoming increasingly difficult to know where to look. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate everyone's efforts my heart skips a beat every time my phone rings praying its 'the call'.
On behalf of my daughter Alice and myself I would like to thank you all for your continued support and help.

Could someone add his to the Facebook site Spotted:Cirencester too?
Goldenfarm
What about getting him into the Wilts & Glos Standard? Wider publicity could help, maybe.Last edited: 2014-10-03 10:09:42 by Goldenfarm

Hello All,
Have been commenting on this little chap on Facebook....have there been any sightings of him lately? Was in the area again yesterday and keeping eyes peeled.
Goldenfarm
Meeko's owner, just to let you know that we are continuing to walk our two dogs in the Preston fields every day until he's found. Have seen your many posters and two cameras. You are trying so hard...somehow he surely must be found. I would guess he lies up during the day in farm buildings or hedgerows and comes out to scavenge at night.
Show yourself Meeko, so we can help you. xx
Mollychops
The sighting may have been a black cat who lives nearby
Goldenfarm
We also went there again just now. Walked in the fields behind the church and up and down the village street...no sign, unfortunately.
Mollychops
Another sighting behind the church, not sure when , just off to meet owner now
MEEKO
Hi Meeko's owner here. Been out working on finding him so much i havent been very in touch with the dog lost website but ive just read through all the comments and storys and am overwhelmed with everybodys kindness, what a community.
I still feel we have a long way to go due to Meeko being just so scared of everyone.
He was sighted again today on the entrance to preston village (was spotted there last monday) so i am very happy to have a second viewing in the same place.
I have left some fresh meat out which is what he is fed at home and put up a night vision camera so we will see if we get any footage. I am also going to have another BBQ there tonight and sit and watch from my car to see if i can see him for myself.
Fingers crossed! Thankyou again xxxxx

Brilliant how dog people come together......so hope they find this little boy, hope he doesn't keep crossing the A419 x
Mollychops
Thanks JackieD, will tell owner. The whole of Preston village are aware and are being so lovely and supportive to her . They are always asking how the search is going. When I was on the phone to her esrlier two people came over for a chat .
JackieD
If you need any help please let us know only about 15minutes from you.
Mollychops
Thanks everyone, sighting middle of last night, at the bottom of the village by the Kingshill lane turning
Goldenfarm
....went again this morning. No luck. Any news?
Goldenfarm
We spent some time this afternoon walking in the fields beyond the church at Preston. Is he still believed to be in this area? He could be resting up in the hedgerows which are pretty dense in places. We'll look again tomorrow.

Lovely to meet you earlier Digbydog. Owner has been out most of the night with a barbecue in the spot where Meeko was last seen, on the harnhill side of Preston. This morning a dog walker spotted him on the other side of the village. We are all so glad he is staying in the village area. Owner could not be working harder to find Meeko. Everywhere is covered with his poster, and its really paying off as she is getting calls. Off to cook yummy [ I hope Meeko thinks so}chicken liver and bacon for scenting.as Owner isn't moving from the srea now !She has some great friends who are keeping her focussed, Including one who can get hold of thermal imaging camera and night sights, of which I know nothing , taking advice from TigaJenny too who is being a huge support as always xx

Last sighted yesterday running in the Harnhill direction
Mollychops
There was a sighting on Sunday by the hydrothereapy centre near the A419, he must have crossed that road and come down to Preston yesterday ,

Sightings earlier in Preston, he was running down the road. He is a very scared rescue dog, and has never left his new owners land, until he was let out by accident. He has come from America a few months back, and will be so traumitised by this. His owner is working incredibly hard, searching and postering. I thought I saw him earlier when I was out with my dogs nearby , but it was a Spaniel, sadly .
Mollychops
Meeko ran off from Old Talland on the Cirencester to South Cerney rd,he is chipped but this is out of date, Ive told owners to alert chip company. Local farms are going to be alerted to as its a fairly rural area. Ive emailed a link to his poster and my advice sheets .
