- I cannot express how happy I was to receive a call from Sarah, Poppy's owner this morning telling me someone had seen our doglost post and realised they had just found Poppy. Whether she had been picked up and kept in and escaped or had simply been fending for herself all this time we will never know. We are all just grateful for the lady who took her in and made the call to Sarah telling her poppy was found and safe! Whoop whoop! Welcome back home Poppy who is going to be microchipped and spayed ASAP! Best news to wake up to! X

- Another day without our baby. Can't believe with all this hard work and with how its so out there with face book and surrounding area that someone must know something. Someone at my daughters school said they had her and the teacher approached them not to be cruel, how do I handle that

- Sarah, even if train people say nothing on track, you must log with Network Rail and keep on at them. Trust me. They often do not check. Dogs are rarely reported. Make them walk the tracks! Poppy may well have been picked up by someone, so the more posters the better so she becomes too hot to handle, but, you must work on the rail workers to physically go and check, just to rule it out. Both stations. You are doing well, come on Poopy! x

- We really need someone to check as close as possible along railway line for owner and get station to check their tracks. Need someone to log a report with Network Rail of Poopy missing nearby. Also, where the trains there are usually rivers - if so contact river/navigation people. Plaster the area around the station in posters - this is very important as sometimes workers come on the tracks after midnight and they can keep a look out for you. Hand a poster/leaflet to every train driver that stops at the platform - two people, one each side of platforms. Hand posters to every taxi driver at the station's taxi rank. Keep going as eventually, things very often come to light, hopefully with this fur baby at the end of them. Come on sweetheart, where are you? x

- How about posters at Basildon Cricket Club, Mopsies Park, Northlands Park, the local schools, as kids notice things... Gloucester Park, superstores such as P@H, Sainsbury's, pubs, etc. anywhere where lots of people will see them...
There are still people without internet about, but in a recent case an elderly gent did stop me and tell me of a lost dog on a poster.
Good Luck. - 2014-09-23 22:16 sarah

- Glad the leaflet are going out... Have you put some through your close neighbours letterboxes? Sometimes people look after pets, waiting for posters to go up.
Also contact your dog warden... if you come under Southend, you are in luck as it's Sarah Moran!

Strays get taken to Acresway Kennels in Thundersley: 01268 770402. Worth going there and checking, not just relying on a phone enquiry as they are busy.
