Great news- thanks for the text Buddy. I was out all day so pleased for update. I also had a text from Amy the owner saying all packed up Rooster safe in the car and ready to return home to Suffolk.

Just had a message from Rooster's Mum; "Rooster has been found!! Near moat park he's exhausted but ok Can't thank you enough for all your help"

edited to add further info; "FOUND Downswood area in someone's garden drinking from the fishpond!!"

from owner Amy==my husband is in the army & travelled 300 miles to help search for Rooster. We've also put up and handed out 200 posters now. Somebody must know where he is Xx Army barracks alerted as train around the town..
OUR ARMY helps us so....Lets help our army's family now

The greyhound seen nr Sainsbury's was caught and not Rooster, 2 black hound greyhounds around Maidstone on same day!! Just a coincidence !Shame not rooster.
Alerted police dog handlers so will be on the look out.

rooster lost 25th this one found 24th. plus almost sure Rooster has no white on toes.

If he's a retired racer he may go to another greyhound as they do tend to like their own breed, I suppose because it's all they've ever known. May be worth contacting trainers and rescues in the area, may be drawn to any kennels nearby.

Thanks. owner popped in to collect posters as no means to print etc. Suggested areas to put them. also handed out printed instructions of plotting scenting and catching ( as no access to emails and mobile signal patchy)Hopefully either someone has picked him up and not reported yet to DW or he is laying low till dawn. With shoppers and a warm day hopefully get sightings soon.

Thanks DM-the sighting was lunch time which they think was about 12.30 . there was 2 positive sightings at 1.30 back in area lost heading on boxley road towards peneden heath so more likely he is still in this area..

Someone has just posted on the RSPCA Leybourne Facebook page that a black greyhound was seen near the Chequers Centre yesterday, they tried to catch it but it ran off towards Sainsburys

URGENT please help put up posters!!!

Speaking with Roosters Mum, she's not from the area and is visiting family. If anyone can help by putting up posters we'd be ever so grateful. They are staying in a house with no computer or printer and the mobile signal is patchy at best.

Missing from Tudor Ave somehow he got out of the garden and eventually back to Waterlow rd at 1.30 when we weren't in he ran to Boxley Rd turned right towards Peneden Heath. There have been no further sightings.

" Just a Chance" Male lurcher found 24/9 with some white on paws, found 4 miles away, Found ID 75527. I've got a ret. ex racing greyhound but can't always distinguish between some lurchers and greyhounds and loser may have got date wrong. Be wonderful if it was. EDIT Can see now no white on paws so can't be Rooster. Hope he turns up soon, probably moving around at dusk and dawn.
