I have emailed admin for you.

A trap would need to be constantly manned incase it goes wrong.
DogLostSpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
if you put it next to PEPPER on the name above, then i'll email admin and ask them to bump the page for you.
Pepper
I have tried to change the title but it doesn't "bump" my listing. I don't know how to do it, sorry.
Pepper
Thanks for your comments. I'm having a gadget crisis so I won't be able to get online until I get home tonight, sorry. I'm going back out searching today and I'll try to find a BBQ for tonight. I'm hoping Gills Lap car park is ok to set it up in, as I don't want to have an open flame in the forest itself. I'll try to get hold of Jenny and Tiga. Thank you.
Jules
Pepper's mum - Julia here who sent you a couple of texts. I am just across the road from where you left the Tshirt and have been checking every day. If you need help or have to visit in the evening, text me and I will give you a hand/come with you.
Milo'sMum
Yes, of course.. You put out the trap before I gets dark and then you return to check it at the crack of dawn. I'm only suggesting this as it worked getting my friend's dog back.
TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
If a trap is used it needs to be monitored, as other animals could get caught in it, & a risk that it could close and injure, if it catches the animals leg .. The bbq suggestion is a good idea & hopefully Jenny & Tiga may be able to help x
Milo'sMum
Get a hold of a fox trap. Put some really yummy and smelly food in there and leave the trap where Pepper was last sighted. This worked, when a friend of mine lost her dog. (She put a trap out after searching for her dog for a week and it worked) Good luck. I hope you find her soon x
DogLostSpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Just thinking about this. Can you change the title where it has her name and put next to it 'urgent, lead still attached' and get the page bumped as this will draw attention and raise awareness.

Also do you have a disposable BBQ that you could do in the evening. Just stick some cheap bacon or sausages on it and the smell will travel a long way. If she is in the area she will be drawn to the smell. You just sit quietly and watch, then don't call her but if she comes near just throw a bit towards her and let her come to it.

Hi, TK has alerted me to this dog. Our area co-ordinator is away at the moment but I have passed a message to Jenny and Tiga. She may well be away tracking other dogs at the moment, but hopefully we will be able to get some advice from her, and I will update you.
TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Jenny & Tiga are based in Kent, Tiga is a beagle who has helped to track many dogs.... You can contact them on www.K9Tracker.co.uk
You can go to web page & complete the bit "ask for help"
If they are available, the will help you ...
They are definately worth contacting ...
Pepper
Unfortunately, Pepper hasn't been found yet. Not even as much as a sighting. I'm refusing to give up and am continuing the search.

TK, I don't know Jenny and Tiga, could you let me know how to get in touch please?

I'm heading back to the woods shortly with some help so won't be online for a while, sorry. I've searched around 40 miles per day and I'm so grateful to all the human and canine helpers along the way. Thank you.
Jules
Have put posters up in the Crowborough Warren Forest area which is across the road from where Pepper went missing and have been out searching there. Have you any updates for us?

Any news yet? xx

Have you contacted Jenny & tracker dog Tiga ....they nay be able to help x
Pepper
Pepper is still missing, unfortunately. I will be in the area when the KWT walk is going on, so will hopefully see you all there. Thank you so much.
Trudi M
The Kit Wilson Trust have their sponsored dog walk from Pylons CarPark, next to King Standing, tomorrow. If you have chance to pop along and let us know whether Pepper is still missing we can advise our walkers. We wil have a poster at registration. Thinking of you with positive thoughts that you will find her soon.
Milo'sMum
I'm taking my dog out on a walk today as Ashdown Forest. I'll keep an eye out her. I hope she'll be found soon - safe and well
Pepper
My phone number is on the missing poster from this site. There were lots of people out looking today, which I'm very grateful for. I'm starting to think Pepper is trying to find her way home, which is in Crawley Down, so a long distance from home on little legs. If anyone in the area between Gills Lap and Crawley Down , please keep a look out. She'll be ever so stressed and frightened by now, so might not come to strangers easily. The word "biscuit" helps as she'll be very hungry by now. I'm heading back to Gills Lap car park first thing in the morning.
Pointerlady
Lots of Facebook people wish to help but cannot contact owner direct. Please advise on FB if a search can be coordinated tomorrow?
ginger
have posted on my Facebook page, am happy to help with search, but don't have a car, I'm free all day tomorrow if someone wanted to give me a lift from lingfield.

Pepper
I am still out searching. If anyone in the area have a search dog I'd be ever so grateful for any help. Also will very much appreciate help from anybody, with or without dogs. Thank you
Pepper
Thank you, Jane. I'm going out again very early in the morning. Will try to add a picture of the area she went missing in.
Jane Stephens
I live nearby, happy to help with searches etc, just say the word. Otherwise will make a point of walking my dog in that area over the next few days just in case. Hope you are reunited soon. Last edited: 2014-09-25 22:30:11 by Jane Stephens
