- I had wondered whether that might have happened particularly as a cocker spaniel has recently been stolen from Fittleworth, not far away. I will share Monty's details again on the sites and forums I am connected to. I hope he is soon found and back home with his owners x

- We now think that the sighting on the 2nd wasn't Monty but a similar looking local springer. It is possible that poor Monty was stolen.

- No sightings since the one a fortnight ago Jack. People in the area are keeping an eye out for Monty, I'm hoping there is another sighting soon as it is such a vast area xxx

- Thank you Jack for looking out for Monty. I think that he is moving around the area...it's so vast that he could be anywhere....his owners have left items with their scent on around where he was sighted on Thursday night, so lets hope we get another sighting very soon xx

- I walked around nearby area, Lavington common and woodland on Friday morning with a friend, both of us have springers, unfortunately no sighting. We might not have been in the right location though, we were on the north side of the road, from the car park on the OS map and then walked north/north-east towards the old railway track and then north-west towards Selham, back through Main Wood. Think we might have been in Duncton Common? also Cathanger Farm and Fitzlea Farm area. Sorry I don't know the area better. So hope he's back home soon, keeping everything crossed x

- Have been out looking in the area Monty was sighted, I talked to two groups of horse riders who were aware and regularly ride on the common and some local dog walkers. Plenty of posters up. Charlotte has also been looking and doing lots more with posters and handing out leaflets. Hopefully we will get another sighting very soon xx

- I will start at Ambersham common and walk across to the old railway and up and along it, plenty of cover there for him. Owl, there are posters up in the car parks that bird watchers etc on the heaths would use, and I will spread the word to everyone I see and pop into the Graffham store and the farm shop xx

- Excellent news at last. Is it possible to update the local equestrians who are already aware of Monty to this sighting on the common? Is there a local Horsewatch group? In view of the terrain whih needs to be covered, the riders may be a great help. Also hiking and mountain bike clubs and in particular bird watchers. They notice anything lurking about, and carry binoculars.

- He went missing from the back of graffham court ,his owner was working in the grounds which he's done before, monty went out onto the common while he was working and didn't come back .he has gone off before but always came back . His owners live in Midhurst. I was walking my dogs today in the area he went missing from sadly no sign. It's such a large area of woodland .his owners have been a lot looking and others have done the same xLast edited: 2014-09-29 19:27:30 by Charlotte Watson

- Sorry to see Monty is still missing, hope he is back home soon. I am a few miles away from Graffham but might be able to come over and walk around later this week if he's still missing? Is there any more info about exactly where he went missing from? Does he live nearby? I only know one walk in that area so not sure if that would be in the right area? x

- Ravenette, have owners left an article of clothing and scented in the last place they saw Monty, and also wherever they parked their car? I have been looking at the area on sat map and the woods are so extensive, with a number of woods linked to each other, that the lack of sightings is not surprising. He could still be somewhere in there.

- Monty is still missing and there have been no sightings :( his owners are looking for him and have contacted the dw, local vets etc. I suggested putting an article in the local papers as they have been very helpful in the past. Hoping that this lovely boy is found very soon xxLast edited: 2014-09-29 10:08:00 by Ravenette - Area Co-ordinator - West Sussex

- Please contact them they are very upset. Monty usually comes back to owner when he's working at graffham court but not this time, I went round giving posters out to polo yards who are near by and telling cowdray estate workers I don't know what else to do thank you xxLast edited: 2014-09-28 20:27:39 by Charlotte Watson
