I know this dog was stolen over 8 years ago but I’m just commenting on all posts that match the description of a dog we have found dumped in our field. We presume she is a saluki. She looks very similar to this dog. However she is chipped (could have been chipped later?) I have posted on here under the “found” section to see further details and a picture
Joan
ADMIN, please see string of posts below from April 2015 suggesting that this dog may have been matched with a found dog. Several posts since including possible matches of found dogs being put forward by volunteers. Is is possible to confirm with owners please whether in fact this dog was reunited some years ago, or Is sadly still missing. Xx

I work for SDK (although I'm not working today). I've phoned them and asked if they could call the number given in the listing on this site. Fingers crossed it's Snowy.

I have emailed SDK to tell them the link isn't working - really hope it's Snowy

From what I can see on the Internet Stray dogs that are found in Greenwich which this dog seems to have been, will be taken to Battersea Dogs Home. Maybe worth giving them a call ASAP and asking them to forward a photo etc to clarify and then she won't be put up for rehoming before her time in quarantine is up I would imagine.

Don't want to build your hopes up as I know how hard this must be but strayaid.co.uk have a male dog listed as found which looks identical to snowy. I thought it might be worth checking that they haven't listed the sex wrong as the dog looks identical. I hope snowy is home with you soon. Looking out for her in the DL5 area. If you would like posters put up in the Newton Aycliffe area then I can help

Sorry to see that SNOWY MATCHED BY OWNER TO SDK DOG HELP NEEDED is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (75623)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
