Petition signed. Will share on my FB too. x
Willow Dood
Petition signed. Hopefully the police will investigate and find and charge the people (?) responsible for Willow's death. No innocent animal should be mistreated and no family should have to go through what Hayley and Ross are going through now. xx

Willow's owners and myself will be on BBC Three Counties tomorrow morning with Iain Lee. This will be very distressing for the owners, so it would be nice to know that some sympathetic DogLost supporters will be listening and supporting them.

Really sorry to hear the sad news of your darling girl. Read local newspaper story which states that bedfordshire police wouldn't record her stolen or look into her theft as they didn't see her being stolen!!! Does anyone ever see their dogs stolen or even their belongings, no wonder this police force was rated one of the worst and the dog thefts continue. Shame on you and we'll done willows owners for trying their best for they girl.

This is taken from Willow's facebook page
It is with deep regret that we have to inform you all that we have today recovered Willow's body in a decomposed state. It would be impossible to be 100% sure it is Willow as the micro-chip was no longer with her but we are confident when identifying her and given the circumstances it was our girl. To our disgust we are very suspicious of the circumstances in which Willow's body found it's way to where it did and what caused her death. Not wishing to get into the minor details but we feel you all deserve to know that there was no collar and tag on Willow when found and the vets who inspected her body confirmed her nails did not reflect a dog that has been running around outside for weeks, in fact, quite the opposite. She was very close to a residential area in Biggleswade on a piece of ground which had no effects of a dog that had been there for a long period of time. The area has also been recently cut which again suggests she probably hadn't been there long. We urge anyone who see Willow on the day she went missing to please come forward with any information you may have as we now feel we need to find out what happened that day even more. Whoever wrote over Willow's posters shortly after she went missing please get in touch with us, we just want to piece everything together so we can move on from this awful chapter of our lives. Once again we want to thank you all so much for all the help, it has been overwhelming how much support we have had and we couldn't have done it without you all. We really hoped we could have said thank you to you all by telling you Willow was home but sadly this was too good a scenario to be true. We urge you all to keep following this page so we can use it to help others with their searches and also remember our little princess for the beautiful and sweet girl she was. We will provide updates if we get any. RIP our little angel xxx

Don't know the circumstances yet but Willow has gone on to Rainbow Bridge, my heart goes out to her family that tried so hard to find her.

Just seen your post. Think this has probably nothing to do with Willow but someone posted on a website I belong that down her in Maidstone Kent in one of the local parks they saw a cockapoodle running around looking scared and nervous but couldn't get near to the dog. I know its a wild chance but I can ask the lady concerned details. It is a long way from you though? xx Would anybody near this area on doglost be able to check this out as this could be Willow been dumped or another furbaby who needs help xx

Willow you came into our lives at just 4 days old when your eyes were still shut and you could fit in the palm of our hands. We visited you every week until you were old enough to come back with us to your new home. For weeks we trained and nurtured you into the beautiful dog you are today with the temperament of an angel. You were such a good girl at home and when on walks and were always happy. Every day we couldn't wait to get home to have you greet us in such a loving way and you would never settle until both of us were home with you and your family was complete. You loved coming on holidays with us and the happiness in your face was something that we will always remember and wish to see again. On 30th September 2014 what happened to you in the Biggleswade Common (SG18)?Willow, did you run off or did someone take you? Who took you? What scared you? Why did you run off from your walkers? Who has you and where are you now? Our life is not the same without you and it will never be the same until you are home where you belong. So many wonderful people are trying to help us find you and we believe together we will be successful. We have offered £1800 in cash for your return and Pets Corner have added another £5k of their vouchers on top which anyone could sell for cash if that is what they want. You are spayed and microchipped so why have they taken you when you are so precious to us and no use to them? Willow you will always be such a special little girl to us and we just want you home with us so we can get our lives back on track. Willow PLEASE COME HOME. Love from your Mum and Dad xxx

A few people have said that they think this one could be Willow. I fairly sure s/he is not as I think s/he's a BGV. But please take a look in case I am wrong. http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=78348#.VGfT0IegPSx
SUSIE
Sorry my concern is if someone finds her but doesn't really know the breed then she could be listed on rescue sights, council dog pound sites as a different breed then she is a needle in a haystack! Her face needs to be out there "everywhere" She is absolutely beautiful and needs to be home!
SUSIE
This may be a crazy idea but has anyone got one of those inkjet printers that can add a photo to "whatever" ? If so could we get cheap tote bags ( £1 usually in Hobbycraft etc) and print these off onto bags? Don't mean to be rude but there appears to be a little bit of money for "safe return" could these bags be printed and purchased (to raise additional) money for promoting "willow awareness" in the areas she has been possibly seen? Just a thought. ( Could go out to family and friends in the first instance then wider afield) plus raising additional funds to keep the advertising going? Hope this makes sense?

Can you have a look at stray aid as they have a dog that looks like a poodle cross but not sure if colour is right, maybe white rather than cream which is what I presume willow is.

I was speaking to a lady in the Dan Albone Car Park just now (where K9's van was parked when Willow ran off) and she said that her and a colleague were driving along the A1 the other day, coming from Sandy towards Biggleswade, and they noticed some dogs running in and out of a fence, almost onto the road. They pulled up and looked through some bushes and noticed around 5 travellers' caravans there. They did call the police as the dogs were a danger to themselves and also drivers, but after 1.5 hours the police never turned up and they had to leave as they had an appointment. I thought I'd post this as apparently the site isn't visible from the road unless you park up and have a look through the vegetation, but maybe you haven't checked there yet.
Micky
Please check dog found on pets located web site it's states it's a male but sometime people make mistakes when listing - http://www.petslocated.com/pet-full-info-popup.inc.php?pid=ad1aa0ec18c47df8d437bacfabd19c47

Can you confirm the dog at Abington vets isn't yours please? Someone posted on there that you said she wasn't but can't see anything on your facebook group? x http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=76858#.VEepdvnF-So

It's a very long shot I'm afraid, but quite a few of us have noticed the resemblance between this dog and Willow.

Is a tracker dog out of the question? Jenny and Tiga managed to locate a missing boxer dog nearly three weeks after it went missing and they've had lots of other successes. At least you would know at what point Willow left the common (if she has left it).
liznhar
Just rechecked and sadly it's not Willow as the dog has been reclaimed and it now says it's not female but male - very confusing. Sorry.
liznhar
A very similar looking dog has been found near to Canterbury university in Kent and was handed in to Barton Veterinary clinic in Canterbury. It said the microchip details were out of date. The original post I saw on FB does not state if it is a male or female dog but from the photo the found dog would appear to have a brown patch on it's back. Worth giving the practice a ring http://www.barton-vets.co.uk/ Edited to state the dog found in Canterbury is female.Last edited: 2014-10-15 22:33:48 by liznhar
Gino
the sightings in Clapham and Bedford were NOT Willow and there has still been no sightings of her.
Findwillow!
We have a search for Willow happening this Sunday at 1.30pm meeting at Biggleswade common car park. Thank you for all your help. Still no sightings of Willow it's now been nearly 9 days and we miss her so much. Xx
JaneR
Just a thought, but there's a website called K9searchdog.org that has dogs that track other missing dogs. I've no idea of what the cost of this service might be, but if you're offering a £1500 reward, you might consider spending the money using this method instead.
JaneR
Is there a poster in the RSPB reception/shop at Sandy? Walkers/bird spotters might catch sight of her there wandering around their grounds.
Findwillow!
The possible sightings of willow in Bedford, Clapham have been checked out. It isn't Willows it's a Bichon cross who has also been missing. So we still have no leads on where she could be. We are now offering a reward of £1500 if she can be found safe.We have looked day and night put posters in Biggleswade and surrounding towns but still no news. We are desperate for her to come home it's just unbearable please help us find willow we miss her so much x

Re the post below 04/10/14 - I am the dog walker who spoke to that lady who said she was a dog walker. I did two walks on the common on Tuesday with my other walker. I met her on the first walk. The dog she is referring to is a Labradoodle who is about 4 times bigger than Willow. I did lose a red lead on that walk and went back to look for it. That is not Willow's lead as I have Willow's lead at home with me! Willow was on the second walk on the Common that day.
Gino
"a red dog lead I found, near the river, on Biggleswade common, Tuesday 30th September. This was between 1-1.30pm. I am a dog walker and I met a couple with a large number of dogs, including labradoodles and or cockapoos amongst their pack, just before I found this lead. They had left before I found it so couldn't ask if it was theirs. I did notice however on passing them, on the walkway to the common alot of the leads they had were red."

Willow was in the chronicle yesterday so hopefully that will keep up awareness xx

Hello everyone, we have been over to Bedford Clapham this morning where the lady thought she sighted willow, we had no luck. We put posters up in the town, please can everyone keep their eyes peeled xx

2 possible sightings on wednesday and thursday of a dog matching willowss description in Clapham MK41 postocde area. owner in contact with helper who sighted dog and is following up. please can we have new alerts also for MK41 and MK40 postcode areas. Thanks
Gino
A red lead was found, possibly belonging to Willow. Pic being sent for the owner to check it out...
JaneR
Thanks to all the posters, lots of dog walkers on the common are aware of Willow's disappearance and have been keeping an eye out for her. It might be worth asking Network Rail to check the line from Lindsells Crossing right up to Sandy station. Willow could have headed up to Sandy on the common as there's been no sightings. You could ask the Biggleswade Chronicle (which is also sold in Sandy) if they'd run a story and include Willow's photo.
meggie
Walked alongside east side of railway line, northwards from Lindsells Crossing to boundary fence of sewage works. Fence insecure for last 400 metres.
Alison P
Have there been any sightings?
meggie
Checked field on west side of railway from Lindsells crossing northwards to junction with Biggleswade Common. Palisade fencing obscuring my view of railway lines. ? Ask Network Rail to check lines from Biggleswade Station northwards to Sewage Works.

Hi there, I don't know if this will be of any help at all. But I think I was te last person to see Willow. I was walking my dog yesterday when I saw the dog with no owner. I tried to get the dog to come to me, I managed to stroke the dogs head but then he/she got scared and ran off I tried to keep up with willow from a distance and I had treats to but willow sprinted off into the fields. I came across the lady from the dog walking company who said it was one of their dogs and said where I last saw the dog but the dogs coat was the same colour as the fields and just blended in. I'm absolutely devastated I've seen this on Facebook I thought they would've found the dog as they said it has done this before. I just wish I had managed to get a hold of the dogs collar but at the time wanted to make sure I wasn't bitten. I hope willow is found. I walk my dog in that field everyday so will keep a look out.
Flo
JaneR
I'll be leaving shortly to go to the common. I'll be walking along both the Sainsburys side and the Sandy side of the railway line and of course I'll let you know immediately if I see anything of Willow.
