- If you can, and know where she 'went from', leave an article of clothing there and keep checking back - hounds tend to return via the way they went off once the scent of what they are following is lost. I know the rain doesn't help but this is a tried and tested method with pack hounds that go off on their own. It might work with her. Also keep checking your local Shelter, in person. It's obvious she is a Basset, but you never know - she could be in there as a Beagle!! In case somebody has picked her up as a stray (they do and keep them!) talk to your local postie who may well know where there's a 'new dog' on his round. It goes without saying that I hope you get her back asap.Last edited: 2014-10-25 11:33:29 by MamaBas
