Hi, sorry to learn about Charlie. My Blenheim cavalier went missing on 09.03.03. I have recently been in touch with Humberside Cavalier Club who have started a page on their website for lost and stolen cavaliers. If you would like to make contact with them the person to contact is Linda Flynn, email address Linda@linjato.com This service is offered to all cavalier owners in our situation. Good luck. I know how you feel!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately the dog was not Charlie (who has white under his chin, not evident on the photo), also he has a distinctive feature - a dew claw on top of one of his front paws. His owner Jan has asked me to thank everyone for helping, she said she is overwhelmed by the support from people and will let me know of any news and vice versa. She has put another feature in the local press.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, the third party was me, sadly the man let the dog go to the couple that went saying the dog was theirs, he said the dog seemed to know them and they had vets bills & photos. However, on Saturday I saw a male CKC in a dog pound, gave the photo to the owner, it looks like him.He was found as a stray on 9th December, the owner went up there on Sunday morning to have a look but was told the dog was claimed by a man the next day! The lady at the pound seemed to think it was Charlie when she saw the photo. The owner said she would contact the police in case it was Charlie and will let me know any news.I feel so sorry for the owner, she is distraughtLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The man has been in touch to say it was definately the other mans dog as he responded to him and he had photos and papers and vets bills and his wife was in tears of joy when they were reunited-she thought some kids had taken him to play with fireworks! I now have to ring Charlies owner and say that this was not her dog-ouchLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This one is looking hopeful! A man has advertised a found Cavalier and the lady through a third party has e mailed him and he has replied that it sounds like the same dog. However worryingly he says a man is already coming round to have a look as he claims the dog is his!! We have e mailed him to ask that this man produces evidence that the dog is his. Worryingly this man said he would phone the lady immediately but has not done so! Lady is now very distressed,as dog was found in same area as was found by this man.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
