NESSA WENT HOME TODAY!!! The vet said that she is a truly inspirational dog. She greeted her mummy with lots of licks and as soon as she got home jumped up onto the sofa and went to sleep. She seems to have adapted to the challenge of losing a leg quite readily <3 Bless you Nessa....such a brave girl xx

I understand Nessa had surgery today and it went as well as it could. Trisha will update again further when she has spoken to her owners again

NESSA UPDATE: FOUND!!

Following an intensive poster and leaflet campaign last night and this morning, a call came in that a dog matching NESSA's description was in a front garden on Home Farm Crescent. Jake and Nat responded and found NESSA. She is a poorly girl and has suffered a severe injury to her front leg, following her accident with a van yesterday. She is now at the vets undergoing treatment for shock and will be observed over the weekend with a view to surgery on Monday.
Jake and Nat are relieved that Nessa has been found and send their thanks to everyone that helped to bring her home xx

POSSIBLE SIGHTING OF NESSA ON BINSWOOD AVENUE AT 8AM THIS MORNING. This seems a long way for her to have travelled and have made local enquiries to see whether anyone can identify the dog that was seen. The area that she was lost in has been thoroughly postered and leafleted and owners are now covering a wider area putting posters in shops, petrol stations etc.
On my way out to put posters in all vets.

Poster shared on Doglost sites, DW FB page and pound notified. Have given brief advice over the phone, added to by info sheets from Ellie, and also shared to local supportive FB pages. Will be joining the search in the morning.
