Great news that Toby is home that is the main thing, but that Toby is going to publicise the need for scanning that is great and he will make a great ambasador for scanning - who can resist such a handsome chap!

Doglost founder Jayne will also be on the breakfast show tomorrow...more good news this evening...see Mojo...found due to halo scanner after being missing 1 year...Doglost got the call from a vets after it came up to ring doglost as the dog was reported missing by us...founder nearly missed the train up to London for tomorrows slot as desperate to pass on the good news...will be taking halo scanner into show and if she has the opportunity will promote this wonderful invention...
Well done to Tobys owner and everyone for making Toby too hot to handle.

I am so pleased you have got Toby home safely. So glad to see some media coverage too. My two little dogs were stolen from North Yorkshire on June 17th. I am meeting with Julia mulligan (police crime commissioner) on November 6th, as not enough being done to highlight dog thefts x

I am Louise Marsh aka 'Toby's Mum" a veterinary surgeon and my Border Terrier was stolen on 10/10/14 and although microchipped during my search for him I became aware of how often dogs that are lost /stolen and then those found are not necessarily scanned. This information became apparent to me via Debbie Matthews 'Get Scanning Campaign'

During my ongoing search for Toby many lovely people have offered to donate to help find him and provide reward money. I couldnt possibly accept this money and am self funding the search for Toby.

This said I would very much like something positive to come from this horrible time myself and my family are going through. For this reason I have set up this page so that those who would like to can donate to a relevant cause.

The money donated will go towards ensuring that kennels, pounds animal charities and other organisations that need them will be provided with scanners so that found pets are scanned and the chance of owners and pets being reunited maximised. The scanner immediately alerts the user to whether the pet has been reported lost/stolen:

If it wasn't for this , we wouldn't have attracted the press attention and made Toby 'TO HOT TO HANDLE!' Yay!!! We are so happy!!!!!! He was found in a field with a jack Russell in Kent by a lovely lady who took him to a local vet where he was scanned!! I then got the best call ever!!

For those not following this search on Facebook, it has been announced that Toby has been found safe and well, in Kent, and is now safely home. Well done to all involved. Of course, we are all dying to know more details about his rescue......

According to twitter there is a border terrier roaming loose in Chain Lane, St Helens. Post code WA11 9HB. It has no collar on. Can anyone in the area keep a look out.

Main communication seems to be on fb page ... there was a reconstruction today, now available to watch on you tube ... cant help think that it may be travellers that have taken him, is there anyone who can liase with traveller liason person or police in the area to see if nearby sites can be checked .. just a thought ..
