- Such brilliant news - he was hiding in the hedging area and so amazing that he was seen being such a vast area. It just needed that one person to spot him, and they did! And thank god he stayed still! Happy news :)

- Just been caught yay
- 2014-10-18 19:56 furryhound
- Sorry he's not been caught but their best chance is following Mollychop's advice. She has been doing this for years, very successfully. We can probably get a trap if thought necessary.

- Just to update, I spotted Bertie way up in a large uphill field top field off Midland Way running in and out of the hedge. Went half way up, sat down, tried not to look at him, called softly etc. but after about 5 mins he just moved away and into the field to somewhere.... He is going to be difficult to get I think without the owner. Several sightings now been reported to the owner (including Marks & Spencers distribution unit area and from the house near where I spotted him) and they have the owners number to call. Owner and others have done circuits of field and long walks around but no joy. He has to be hiding out there somewhere but just hoping he'll return to the same point maybe? A tracker dog may well be an option.

- Yes agree Sammie, the dog was seen by a neighbour in her garden in the morning,so more than probably slipped it off himself
- 2014-10-16 15:17 Sammie
- When we had a collar left on a door step it was purely that someone had tried to get hold of the dog and it slipped its collar, the dog ended up with the DW. So I hope this incident is innocent too.

- Owner is out now searching the area. If someone has taken him in he needs to be made too hot to handle. Ive emailed her the poster and my advice sheets, and have told her to get the area covered with posters to start with
