doglady, the dog will be sent to a rescue centre after 7 days in council kennels. I will try to find out which centre it goes to, although I think it is usually Dogs Trust at Illfracombe. I will have to wait until the legal 7 days is up.

I agree with Jenny,if they dont want her back they should say so! Then she will be able to find a good home and get out of kennels

Some kind gentleman on GSD United has offered to pay to get Izzy out of kennels for the owners if they want her and just can't afford the payment x

Maybe thwey cant fford the fees to get her home ...if that is the case it is very sad..if they dont want her then its best to be honest and get her into a good rescue placement........hope all goes well for her..Max you can only do so much you have been brilliant. x

Sadly I have not received a call back from owner :( Am still hoping she will be collected.
Someone on gsd site is keepig an eye on the post & hopefully if rescue is needed it will be offered. I have left a message with the head of the 'strays team' informing him of this (he has my home number)

Pleased she is found. As no-one knows why the why the owner hasn't collected her no-one should jump to conclusions. I will help towards the fees, but hope it will be made clear as to whether the owner can afford to continue to look after Izzy

jenny4, I have left a message with the owner to let me know if she has been collected yet, so far have had no reply.She is shown on todays council list (looks like her, doglost found ref 76746), so maybe she has not yet been collected.

The owner has contacted me, Izzy is with the dog warden & can be picked up tmorrow, so is safe.
