Not the same Archie Lynda. This Archie went missing in October 2014, 2 years before Archie 106550 was stolen in October 2016. This is not Found 111167 as he is entire.
So sadly not this Archie this time but I know everyone is always looking out for him.

There is a dog matching Archies description which has been taken to Vale Vets in Dursley, Gloucestershire. I know it is a long shot but the dog is in a bit of a state to look at on FB and so could have been dumped…………so sorry I have just read that the dog was reunited. will still look for Archie and keeping fingers crossed that you will be reunited with him very soon x

Please can I ask - if heading over towards the Cat and Fiddle Road area and continuing for say 2 to 3 miles in as a start, is it quite a rough landscape? Ridges etc? Map says Peak District as a know the area I have been too is. Just a thought but as a young dog Archie would have been full of adventure as such a young dog - perhaps he has wandered too far and in an area that he cannot across back from where he is because of higher ground? Maybe walks around here calling him Archie may eventually hear his owner. I don't mean immediately - after several searches / calling.

This may be a long shot but I remember seeing a card advert on the notice board as you walk through the in door at the HJ Leas pet superstore at Wheelock, sandbach in December. It was a springer for sale with a photo picture & remember thinking it was a strange place to advertise one. It may be worth a check with them as they may keep records if the placing was paid for. We had picked a rescue lab up from Holmes Chapel and called in to get some toys for her & it was c7th December.

Today near Bulls Head, Mottram pub car park (Prestbury side of car park). Dog alone. Quite dirty. Very close to busy road. Possible that this may be the Collie from nearby that has got out before but the man who reported the sighting said it looked like a springer. He has seen our posters and said the dog looked very much like Archie.

A black and white springer was seen alone near Congleton Park wood at 11am today. We have also been investigating something behind the scenes which happened very close to this - on 31 January we had a report of a skinny scruffy looking man trying to sell a black and white springer in Congleton park around midday. We have been unable to speak about this as the police were contacted and cctv was being checked etc. Unfortunately nothing showed up on cctv so we are unable to confirm whether this did actually happen and/or whether it was Archie. Posters have been put up around the area (the first ones were taken down). Please be extra vigilant if you are in this area. Thank you x

Hi. We contacted mountain rescue on Sunday re the black and white springer that was sighted. We forwarded photos of Archie and they confirmed that they did not believe that the dog was him based on the information they had. Thanks everyone for thinking of him and keeping a look out x

Ref 82584 on found section? I don't know this local area but is it a possibility that the dog mentioned in the mountain rescue message could be yours? I know it says he has a different collar on but he may have been taken in somewhere and given a new collar before running off again. Worth reading anyway. I'd love it to be for you .

***Possible sighting same area*** Dog meeting Archie's description was seen in Abbey Road, Macclesfield on Tuesday 6th /Wednesday 7th January. A black and white springer spaniel was seen today around 3.30pm in South Park, Macclesfield (SK11 8AD). At Sainsbury' s car park end of the park. Near the cafe and children's playground. No owner in sight and not wearing a collar. Dog was described as wet and bedraggled. Anyone in this area please keep a look out and call immediately if this dog is spotted again. Thank you x

Lots of posters in Bentilee for Archie. I have been contacted by a lady on the estate who owns a black and white springer similar to Archie and she walks her dog and a border terrier through the area where possible sighting of Archie have been reported. She says that she has not seen any other black and white springers around and wonders if people have reported her dog thinking it is Archie. I have looked at the picture of her dog and he has more black covering his back and the white blaze on his head is crooked and veers to the right.

We have more info on the black and white springer spaniel sighted earlier this evening. It was within 200 yards of the Bulls Head pub on Wilmslow Road near Mottram Hall. It was running in and out of bushes and traffic. Postcode for this area is SK10 4QH
If anyone is around this area and could assist us we would be very grateful x

Maybe worth checking out the dog quoted in the found section as springer cross, as in description it says it's a black and white ESS young one, in PE12 area. No photo unfortunately.

Good luch postie! I live in the Biddulph area & walk my dogs at the Grange daily - I have seen many posters there, but not seen Archie, unfortunately. I will be keeping my eyes peeled, & hope that Archie is home soon. Let's hope the dog postie is trying to get is Archie. My heart goes out to his owners, they must be distraught. If any more searches are being organised, I would be happy to help. Wendy x

Archie been tweting both you and Pup in that area and ended up combining you both......One of you could well have been seen but I so hope its both and we get a joint reunite

Claire as you know we have a possible sighting the same area.....I did ask doglost admin to help with alerts but not had anything.

What seems clear is there is a dog like both this beautiful lad and our baby being walked in that area....

I wonder if the 4 we were told about were 3 plus this lad tagging on? Will do all I can to find who owns those dogs, for us for elimination but for Archie was it 3 and him just tagging in,.

Will let you know if we hear anything xx

We have received a telephone call today.A black and white springer spaniel was seen on Monday at 11.30am on the footpath of the Main Road B5051 Endon Rd, not far from the River Trent, nearest Landmark is the Foaming Quart Pub at Norton Green, ST6 8PD. If anyone is in this area please could you keep a lookout x

*** POSSIBLE SIGHTING *** Jeff had a call. Possible sighting ...weathercock lane near weathercock farm. Delivery driver saw dog couple of hours ago.. Said pretty sure it was archie with markings on his back etc. Only saw posters after he saw dog. Andrew has gone out to search - fingers crossed x

I live in Congleton and would like to help look for Archie. Is there any particular area you are focusing your search on? Also, have you leafleted the east edge of high town? He could he hiding out in a shed/back garden?

I am so sorry you didn't find Archie today, I am sure everyone will keep looking. I wonder if it might be worth contacting the springer rescue groups. Some of them have lost and found sections on their web sites. I know CAESSR (Cocker and English Springer Spaniel Rescue)are not far from this area. I think there is a North west rescue group as well.

Archie's owner Val messaged me today, Archie's minder had a telephone message from a withheld number of possible sighting in Biddulph near the bypass, no date given and he can't ring back as no number. Nothing with highways agency, rail or council reported yet x

I have been contacted by the owner of Archie who is currently on holiday at the moment and not due to fly home until Wednesday.

Archie has not been seen since he escaped, please if you are in this area - keep a lookout.
