The site manager phoned today to say Pants was in the area. My sister raced down and caught him, but not until he'd raced under a barbed wire fence and into a bramble bush.

Poor Pants is noq very thin, hungry and a bit grumpy, but I think he's secretly quite relieved to be home, despite his moaning in the car.

Thanks everyone for your support.Last edited: 2014-11-20 15:06:17 by claireandmathew

SIGHTED IN SLEAP!!

Hooray!

Pants is hanging around a building site near Sleap Airfield.

Bentley Farm Poultry Unit
Bramwood Road
Noneley
SY4 3RF

He has been seen crossing the road to the little wood opposite the unit twice today. Also seen in Miscanthus grass at 8.30 this morning. Manager seen him on an evening.

After 4 weeks, this is GREAT news!

My sister is VERY close to capturing Pants, but can't find him on the site.
The site manager at the site (a new poultry unit) is aware and is happy to watch a trap for us.

Does anyone have a cat trap we could borrow please?
Does anyone live locally who could help get Pants home? Particularly people who walk in that area after dark?
Please call 03302233699.

It would be great if this post could be bumped in light of the new sightings :) thank you.Last edited: 2014-11-19 11:15:02 by claireandmathew

Sadly no more sightings, Dougal. Sorry, I only just saw your message.

My sister has a gut feeling that he's trying to make his way back to Tilston in Cheshire.

It's been two weeks since he went, and a week since anyone saw him.
Dougal
How are you getting on Claire - any more sightings?
claireandmathew
Thanks. My sister is walking every day and covering the area between her home and the sighting. She has left blankets and scent trails. Hoping that she manages to get him home before the cold snap.
Dougal
Great you've had a sighting claire. This link from catchat has some ideas on how and when it is best to search. http://www.catchat.org/lost.html

I hope it helps and you get more sightings of Pants very soon. x
claireandmathew
Possible sighting TODAY in Loppington near Wem about half a mile from home. Please look out for a skinny grey cat in the area.
claireandmathew
The grey cat found deceased is not Pants. We think he is still in Wem. Please share locally and help us find him before the cold snap starts. Thank you.
claireandmathew
Pants was seen by a neighbour in Noneley near Wem on Saturday 25th October. This is the last definite sighting.
We have heard that a grey cat was found deceased in Whitchurch on Friday 31st but no chip was found. Pants is chipped.
My sister is going to follow up but we are continuing to assume he is out there in the Wem area.
claireandmathew
No news sadly, and no sightings. Please keep sharing in the Shropshire and Cheshire areas. Thank you.

Put sardines/tuna in his dish, an call his name just in case. Put something with his scent on, and if you can leave in the garden; his blanket say, along with the scent of the person who feeds him. Put "Lost" ;posters through doorsxLast edited: 2014-10-29 21:55:43
