Is this dog a pure bred? if he is a true pedigree he will have BROWN pigmentation. Nose lips etc. Owner needs to let helpers know if he had brown nose and lips. If he has then all the rescues need to be asked "Do they have a hairy dog with collie markings with BROWN LIPS and NOSE"?. Don't complicate it. There will not be many dogs out there in rescues that are pure bred brown bearded collies. From my experience many dogs get labled bearded collie or B collie x. I phoned one of the found files on here for a beardie cross at a rescue. The lady admitted he probably wasn't a beardie. You need to make this simple for rescues if this dog has got brown pigmentation this will be his best chance of standing out!!!!! From every other hairy dog!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've looked around wice now to see him and i'm going again today to check. I don't trust them at the animal sanctuary after what i heard about what they did to the greyhounds there. It wouldn't surprise me if they've already sold him on despite having his and my details. thanks for everyones support. I just want to know that he's safe really. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi have you looked around leigh animal sanctuary, as sometimes they miss judge what breed a dog is, also has anyone postered the area ?,as ive not seen any around the area, i will keep my eye out for him as i work most nights in leigh, if you have a photo of alfie, i can scan it, if needed, and send it, so you have a proper photo of him on the posters.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
