Thank you Jayne. I've just spoke to the lady and it was two men who found her and took her to the ladies home. She phoned the dog warden on Saturday but her dog warden is the cotswalds dog warden! Ours is north wilts dog warden. We got there in the end! No more worrying! :)

Morning Ann. no news I'm afraid. I phoned Walter McFaddens, hales' and a vets in malmesbury, the George vets and left my details with them. I phoned the kennels that john (below) kindly suggested. I checked on the bath cats and dogs facebook page. I tried the dog warden who didn't answer so I phoned the council directly and they said he would call me back but have not heard back from him. We drove to chippenham again yesterday to her old address and looked around the hole area. She was from moorlands(at the top of hill rise) but nothing. I have all of my friends and my sisters neighbours on lookout for her from around the area.
I spoke to Skye's old owners niece, Sarah, and she is very worried. She has never gone for this long before. She also said something that worried me, she isn't very good around roads without cassie(Skye's mum).
I also went up to our local petrol garage again yesterday and they haven't had any reports. They know us well so said they will let us know if they hear anything.
I am going to walk up to the garage again shortly to see if I can see her across any of the fields. And to leave a message on their message board.
Thank you so much for your concern. :)
I will update again as soon as I'm home from the garage.

No news, I take it? I have shared with local dog training clubs and told everyone I know around Chippenham with dogs to keep their eyes open. Roughly where was her old home? Could be useful to know where she might be heading. Sorry am at work so unable to actually help look but don't give up, she could turn up any time. And there are plenty of rabbits to eat!
Joanne
John, I'm so sorry! I don't know how I've missed your message! I've just tried the Facebook page and also the kennels with no luck. Thank you for your message.
I will keep searching.x
Joanne
I've just registered with local veterinary groups in chippenham and malmesbury. They have had no reports regarding Skye.
I feel slightly dishearted now. :(
I've been trying our local dog warden again but no one is answering.
We went to Skye's old address last night and drove down the dual carriage way and back on the b4069 both of which lead to her old address. Still nothing.
I will try the dog warden again.
I will update all of my activity.x

Hi everyone. Still not found her. :( I'm ringing round the vets and dogs homes today.
I will let you know how I get on.

Hi Sammie. She has been here for 5 days. Her previous owner, Diane passed away. She was my sisters neighbour and our friend. So rehomed privately. Skye was doing fine but she got scared by shooting over the back and did a runner. :(
Sammie
Has she been rehomed privately or via a rescue? Just wondered if they could help at all.
Joanne
Hi Ann. That is amazing of you. Thank you so much. We also saw the badger last night. He was rather big! My heart was pounding at first glance! It is nice to see that there are some really lovely people out there.
Every time my phone rings I feel sick!
Thank you again. I will be sure to keep you updated.
X

Anon here (Ann) - sorry, went before I was your 14.59 post but walked area between Stanton St Quentin and A429, lane, footpaths and any fields I could access am afraid no sighting. On the plus side, only roadkill was a badger (not so good for the badger, admittedly). Hope she's found soon. I did tell everyone I met - all of 2.Last edited: 2014-11-02 16:50:52 by Ann

Joanne - if no answer from the Dog Warden, contact Brinkworth Kennels on 01666 510 295 where the DW kennels found dogs overnight and Bath Cats & Dogs Home (lines are busy so best to use Facebook or Twitter on weekdays) where they are moved on to.

There have been no sigthings of Skye anywhere, Anon from what owner is indicating worth searching further afield and spreading the word to farmers and anyone you meet. Perhaps you could phone owner & work together?

Thank you to all admin. And thank you anon. I still have had no sightings of Skye.
I've also not heard anything back from the police or dog warden.
They are aware of her being missing.
She has been missing now for around 19 hours.
I'm not sure where she could be in such a long time.
She ran away from her old owner and got 3 miles away in a couple of hours. :(

Anon: That would be great - Skye is lost from Stanton st Quintin and there is a very strong possibility that she may be trying to return to her old home in Chippenham, I would be grateful therefore if you could concentrate your search from the M4 towards the airfield. I am stuck at home unwell today and this is quite a distance from me anyway too, but you can stand in for me as that is where I would start. Alternatively, as you know the area, the dog walks and so on, just always try and keep the motorway behind you and report any sightings.

Please, without the benefit of a sighting anyone looking work with the motorway or main road behind you so as not to force her towards danger.

Please also be aware of Scottie another Border Collie who is also missing from near Bath.
Ann
I am local and able to help in a search today if required. Any idea where best to look?
