Has this dog ever been found ? This could be a total long shot but there is a 5 year old male Rottie at Hula Animal Rescue that has been there quite some time. I am unaware of how he wound up there but worth a look http://www.hularescue.org/dog-photos2.html

A two year old Rottweiler has been rescued from a travellers halting site .He is in excellent condition, friendly & obedient. Usually dogs rescued from halting sites are in poor condition & have received very little training so this leads us to believe he has probably been stolen. There is a strong possibility he was stolen in England Whilst some think of going to Ireland as a bit of a journey ,there are many people who see it as simply a long commute: please do not dismiss the possibility that your dog is in Ireland! Judging from his overall condition this dog has not been missing long. Please contact Mayo SPCA on 00353 94938 1966.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Amie. i would like to say 'sorry'I did not mean to offend! this is not my style at all. i mearly meant to encourage people to poster. sorry.x sometimes we get a little head strong when leads turn sour and I would not upset dedicated dog losters!! back to the news........... owner has a viewing from a local dog Warden with a possible match for Ben. This dog has been in a pound in Hertfordshire ( St. Albans) we believe for SEVEN days. two weeks ago I visited houses I thought may be a possible a short straw - ( Lewy area) to see if we could flush him out, did this pay off!! fingers and paws crossed - I thought this may be worth a try. hope to have happy news later. Doggie fairy sorry if my Post upset you in some way. As I was out looking for this Dog I don't appreciate your sarcasm. I was only pointing out that I had not seen a poster I thought maybe it was worth a mention in case someone was maybe taking them down.I have also spoken to local Doggy people and they have not see or heard a thing about Ben. And if I had a printer I would be more than happy to do Posters. I will leave this now. And hope Ben is Home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello to all helping to find Ben, although back at work have been spending time driving around "suitable" places where Ben may be, I believe we need more posters in and arounf the immediate areas, is there a good shot that can be used...and get the poster updated. Am quietly (only for now) working with the owners on this delicate situation!! Just to let you know when Ben went missing he had a little paint on him, he had been helping the owners paint!! so may be a little clue a dog puppy with possible paint marks, if that rings any bells to you that are so kindly looking. I do know that mant roti breeders and owners are helping out on this very quietly, so it will be hard for the PERSON to sell Ben on now!!! Best thing you can do is leave him somewhere safe. Police and local wardens, dog pounds and locals are being called by the owners to keep that refreshed. I am sorry I can not give away much more. Have a little mission to do on sunday!! We are coming for Ben the net is tighterning................ Just to confirm Ben is docked. Have been watching an area all week on a possible sighting but nothing came of that. I think it was another owner simple walking his dog off lead. This can happen, and although dis hearting EVERY stone needs to be up turned however small. At least we can rule that one out. Owners have a little cunning plan I rather like!!!!! we will see what comes of that over the next week. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is it possible to have a photo of Ben. Without wishing to state the obvious, although always black & tan (sometimes with a little white fur on their chest) Rotties can be determined so easily by their facial markings (i.e. the tan 'dots' above their eyes, depth of tan, cheek markings etc). I hope to go along to a big Rottie show in Maidstone next Sunday &, if okay with the organisers, I could put a picture up of Ben (& Misty & other recently lost Rotties). Not absolutely certain that we are going yet but it is likely. Rottweiler Welfare always have a stand there with Chris & Annie Colbourne 'in attendance'. Was Ben bred by a well-known Rottie breeder? If so, what is their name or kennel prefix. Are they involved in the search?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any news?? could the owner tell us what she has done so far as so not to repeat ourselves. I am sure you have contacted the roti clubs and wefare, surrounding local vets, RSPCA, Appledowns. If you phoned a few days ago say, you must keep calling. Pester pester pester that is how they will remember and they will not mind I am sure it just shows how you love your dogs so, and is normal behaviour!!! as far as I am concerned. Please let us know what is heappening. pm me if you have any info I can hunt on to help you, "cos I is good at that"!!! come on guys out there pick a poster... let's get another home before christamas. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
