Sorry for the delay replying. I’d sent it in but just done a quick revision so hopefully ok. I have 8 dogs listed so all in brief.

I then copy that for the website then add to another article of missing dogs /cats.

Mortimer Road looks long. If you are happy sending a screenshot and pin pointing the location of when you last saw shadow I can add to my website.

@poppys pets. Yes I am his owner and I would be happy for you to include him in your article. He would be 10yrs old now. He was wearing a black collar, and the nearest place to where he was lost was our home town, Stocksbridge. However, when lost we were on the edge of the moors just off Mortimer Road. Some may know this better as 'the Strines' road. If you want more detail please send your email address and I can send over anything that you need.

There's a FB post on today saying a Shadow Husky has been found today. Chip read says Shadow from Sheffield. Found in Wigan.

A husky has been sighted by a Yorkshire Water engineer, running loose in a field on Whitwell Moor area which is where Shadow originally went missing.

As a result of teh widespread search for Shadow, news came in of a husky running loose in Rother valley coun try park, Shire Brook park and Beighton areas. I have just bumped Bones to the top as this is close to where she was last known to be living wild, and I am bumping Shadow so anyone looking out in those areas can easily see the photos of both dogs to compare. The sighted dog is described as mostly black so more like Bones than Shadow, but we need to be aware of all possibilities.

The page has been removed from Gumtree so it may be that he has been sold. Did the ad say whether he was a pure bred husky? Shadow who is missing is a cross.

All links to possible matches are checked by one of the Shadow search team and crossposted to his facebook page. No matches yet, but most of us think he is still out there on the run as there have been recent sightings of a husky. But anything is possible so thank you for bringing up these links.

After a press release, there was a call from someone who had seen a dog of Shadow's description on the Trans Pennine Trail, alone and looking as if he was living rough. Searchers went to the area after dark and saw eyes and movement running parallel to the trail, right height for a husky. Farmers in area have been informed and will look out for him. Another sighting has been called in and will be followed up today, so please watch out for him in Thurgoland area.

Shadow has been sighted by 2 separate people, one at close quarters, and Wendy Godber has found his prints at various places. He is still running round the same general area, and being a husky x he is covering a fair bit of ground. Advice I recently saw from professional working dog owners:
Take a well worn unwashed garment belonging to the owner together with a bowl of water (no food which would attract unwelcome visitors) to the place the dog was last seen. Check the place a few hours later and again if no results. The dog should smell the owners odour and stay by the clothes. The water is just for hydration.
