Sadly its been confirmed that Taz was involved in an RTA...John the owner would like to tx local helpers and helper fluffylegs who delivered posters to him...which is probably how he got the sad news.

I have just emailed a canal boat hire company just a little down the canal from you who run trips along the canal and have a boatyard to make them aware of Taz and have referred them to doglost, although have told them roughly where you are in case they do see him. Hope that helps.

You should contact central beds dog warden and appledown kennels as that's the local people who would know if he's been found already. You need to put up lots of posters about, especially at the Grove lock pub as its really popular so the more people see it the better. Also if you follow the canal alo ng towards Leighton Buzzard it will take you to Tesco where it would be good for posters to go up.
Do you have any idea what direction he headed, as you have a few traveller sites nearby so you need to make your dog too hot to handle. If you head towards Dunstable on the bypass further down from where you are moored there is a McDonalds and petrol station you could poster at. If you are near the Grove lock pub this is a walkable distance. I can't implore you enough to poster as much as you can as we currently have two dogs locally who have been missing long term in this area! Will keep an eye out for your lovely dog when I'm out today. Hope he finds his way home soon.

Hi, Im moored past grove lock next to church lock on the GU south of leighton buzzard . My spaniel has been gone since about 5pm today the 10th. He is a brown and white spaniel cross and his name is Taz. If any of you see him please call me on 07446260817
