Long shot here, but around mid October I saw a greyhound not unlike Buddy in Normans Road St Helens. The dog looked healthy but was definitely lost and having just seen buddy has been missing a while thought I'd mention it as, although unlikely, it did look like his pictures.

Well Buddy, it's been a year to the day since you were so scared by the noise of a firework going off that you jumped a 6ft fence and must have run and run, so frightened by the noise. You went into your safe garden at 5pm with Dolly for 5 minutes not expecting to be scared by any fireworks as it was 10 days after bonfire night. You haven't been seen since 15th November 2014 ! Where are you baby boy ? I've cried and cried for months now, I've cried in front of people I don't know just because they thought they'd seen you. I've chased every link on here and every phone call I've received, each time bitterly disappointed. I'm very, very grateful to family and friends and people I've never met before in looking out for you Buddy. You would love all the cuddles you would get from all these people that care about you and want to see you back home with me and Dolly. If someone has taken you in and are loving you and looking after you I want to know, I have nightmares sometimes that you were trying to get home and got stuck in wild brambles and couldn't get out - they're really really bad, I just want to know you're ok. Thanks to everyone that has posted, shared and tweeted etc. I'm not giving up yet, if anyone wants anymore flyers or posters please let me know, it's my birthday next week and I have a few plans so I won't be able to drop any off immediately but please inbox me and I'll drop them off asap xxx

There's a black dog looking similar to Buddy listed on the Facebook page of Yorkshire animals lost and found. Poor thing looks exhausted listed by Dave Lee who I think found it yesterday. Maybe worth checking out. Doesn't say gender of dog found.

I know it is a fair way away but there is a dog on strays section of Deernesss Dog Rescue that looks a bit worse for wear but really looks like Buddy.
If someone could check it out www.strayaction.com click on stray dogs in navigation box on left - he is near the bottom - N39 Ref 246/14 North Durham.

Copied from Buddy's FB group - please keep looking out for him - (Debbie his mum) is desperate to have him home x

This is a difficult post to write but I hope you understand my reasons for it, it's now coming up to New Year, some fireworks are already being set off. Fireworks are the reason Buddy went missing on the 15th November. If anyone reading this has Buddy or knows where he is I beg you to return him to me before New Year. If not, please take note of the following - Buddy is absolutely petrified of loud noises and will try to jump through doors etc to get away, the best thing to do is make sure he goes out for a wee and walk before any fireworks start, make sure he's had some food and water before as he will not eat or drink once he's frightened. Turn the tv or radio up slightly, leave him alone when he has found a place to settle inside, try and make sure he's on a bed as he shakes so much it makes his skin sore if he's on a hard floor. Just try to ignore him even though you will want to cuddle him, if you cuddle him it will reinforce the negativity of his anxiety. I will beg anyone to return my boy but if not please look after him when the fireworks start, maybe your conscience will get the better of you one day as I'm crying while I'm writing this. Thank you so much to the people that have played a role in the search for Buddy - Sue, Diane, Claire, Emma, Jill and many many more xxx

I've just had a call that someone was driving around singleton within the last 5 minutes and saw a black greyhound running in the field where John Ditchfield glass is. I'm going now, if there's anyone's going that way please keep your eyes out for him

I was waking from Cleveleys to Blackpool this morning and there was a greyhound like that on its own on the bottom run of the front across from norbreck castle,it look like it was following a runner so did not think much about it.

I have spoken to Debbie, Buddy's owner. Buddy was in the garden with their other dog, when he was spooked by a firework and jumped a 6 foot fence - this was approx 5pm. He was last sighted yesterday afternoon at Jubilee Gardens.
