Hi Dodie, St. Day is triangular to Lanner Hill across the fields, so re-poster around original spot as well and write across in bright coloured marker pen that she was 'sighted nearby mid January' which might re-engage locals to keep an eye out. It worked before on another dog missing several weeks, as they assumed she'd been found and were ignoring the old posters. Good luck - keep safe Archie - we're closing in to get you home.

as there is a positive sighting can you get the sniffer dogs in?

Bumped due to latest sighting, good advice being followed so I hope it brings more good news soon.

I have spoken to Lucy, Archies owner, the sighting is in the same area of St Day, where she has been seen previously. She seems to be sticking to a certain patch of land. They are almost certain it is her. She seems in good condition & may have been raiding bins.
The family are going to do another poster drop to houses in that area.
They are going to take it slowly, doing scenting in the area to get a positive sighting by the owner & take it from there (setting up feeding station when necessary).
They will contact me should they need any help re searches, but at this stage, it is just sightings please.
Thank you Diva xx

A sighting in some fields in, the St Day,Vogue,Carharrack area, this morning. They had a clear view of her, other people in the area have also seen her recently

THERE HAS BEEN A POSSIBLE SIGHTING IN SANDY LANE, PORTHTOWAN, LAST NIGHT 31/12. A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY SAW A SCARED/THIN LOOKING DOG DESCRIBED AS A LURCHER WITH A BLACK MUZZLE WEARING A RED COLLAR. Sadly there was no phone signal in area & by the time he drove to top of hill & informed owner, who went there straight away (about 6-ish) there was no sign. Lucy (owner) has been there scenting & with her own dog (who didn't react). PLEASE keep an eye out just in case it is her. Posters going up.

Hi Dodie, try notifying local doctor surgeries and possibly local schools as well - touchpoints that people go to regularly where they'll see posters and keep an eye out. Good luck

Good to hear there's been a possible sighting. Fingers crossed she stays in the area now. Hope she's home soon
Dodie
Possible sighting this morning at abou 8.30, a friend who knows Archie thinks she saw her in St Day village so we've been and put posters round the area and spoken to as many dog walkers as we could.

Owner has now had the chip registered to her & flagged Archie as missing.
They are being very active in the search for Archie. Posters/flyers are going everywhere. Local dogwalkers/stables have all got the info as have local postie. Refuse men are next on list. All local vets & vets in Truro informed.
They are satisfied that the area around the mine shaft in the area she went missing, has not been disturbed, as is overgrown. A little bit of luck is needed.

Have spoken to owner. Lots of posters going up.
The found dog 78590 is not Archie.
The local traveller sites have posters up at the gates in case she strays there.
She could be described as a lurcher if found, so please could list searchers also look at any dog desc as similar.
Owner is going to try & send posters to all local kennels that house strays in case he is handed in & desc as lurcher cross/staffie cross etc
Dodie

Update her chip details please x
Dodie
Hi we will put a poster up at Carharrack stores tomorrow, we aren't sure which way she was heading she was being walked in the area at the top right of the hill if you were standing at the bottom but we didn't see her run off she just disappeared. We think its possible she was chasing a rabbit.
Tiana
Ideally cud the owners contact Carharrack Feed Stores nearby with a poster, as it's a rural area so they may engage others not aware. Keep safe Archie, hope you're found soon - will keep a look out. Q.Which direction was she heading on the hill?
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
