- Have now spoken with Noah's Ark who do have Jess and have confirmed the release fee if £187.00! I did query the cost, but as they drop them back, petrol etc it is pricey and today is the third day she would have been there, an extra £16.00 a day. Once paid the lady confirmed she will be dropped home. Ray is going to mend the gate and donate to dog lost once he has been paid.Last edited: 2014-11-26 10:17:25

- Crazy, Crazy, Crazy, get that dog back where it belongs poor thing - mad money for one night away from home. I understand that sometimes fees/charges are incurred but.....,,,,, The dog is microchipped, has loving owners, why would she need to go through a process of being rehomed - also, as previously stated, she is a Staffie and there are soo many needing homes, so may not be lucky! All about the money ??????

- I am just worried that the young owner is no longer monitoring this page as they think the decision has been made .
I wish they would get I touch and take everyone up on our offers of help.
It looks like Noah's Ark Limited list their found and lost dogs on dog lost - I wonder if someone from your team called them you could work something out

Please get your dad to reconsider - there are many people ready to donate £10 myself included

- I am quite willing to donate to get this lovely dog back to its owner, must be so frightened in kennels. X
- 2014-11-25 18:40 Sarah
- This is for West Berkshire (not exactly sure which area you are)
From the Council site
you are legally required to ensure your dog/s have identification
dogs will be kennelled for up to seven days at a cost of £12 per day
upon collection of the dog from the kennels, a seizure fee of £50 will be payable in addition to kennelling costs incurred before the dog is released back to you
the seizure fee will be £95 if the dog is collected out of office hours
dogs not claimed after seven days are re-homedLast edited: 2014-11-25 18:40:45 by Sarah - 2014-11-25 18:34 Sarah
- I can't find a company or a rescue called Noahs Ark in the Berkshire area, but West Berkshire Council say a £50 seizure charge and £12 per day so why £170 if only missing 24th and foudn 25th?? Plus it says she is microchipped as well so what is going on here?Last edited: 2014-11-25 18:34:36 by Sarah

- So many many Staffies out there looking for homes and here is one with a loving home and the owner is faced with an inordinate amount to pay as a release fee .... after one day ! Money grubbers comes to mind ! I would also be happy to contribute a tenner like Fiona x
- 2014-11-25 17:55 Fiona
- im happy to donate £10 if 16 others can do same, if so let me know where and how x
- 2014-11-25 17:33 Unknown
- £170?? thats madness will cost more than that to keep her in the shelter until she is rehomed......go and rehome her from there it will be cheaper.maybe they will do you a payment plan or borrow £10 off of 17 freinds dont give up its so sad
- 2014-11-25 17:14 valpark
- How come it is so much? How long has the "shelter looked after her? I would have thought if she is held be rescue they would wave the fee.It is surely important to return dog to a loving home.Lost on the 24th and found on the 25th????
- 2014-11-25 16:56 doggiesareus9898
- Gonna cost £170 to get her back, unfortunately we do not have the type of money at the moment but knowing she is safe and happy has put my mind at ease.

- One place to try is SDK Envrionmental. I cross post the found dogs from there, but sometimes they are not uploaded straight away, they collect stray and found dogs in your area. 08444828321 or 01803 696900. Contact all wardens, councils and kennels in case she has been picked up. They might scan but sometimes chips move or might not be read. http://www.lostdogsuk.co.uk/index.php?id=74

If so, thats brilliant. :) Really hope she comes back, its killing me even after one day of her being gone, I need to know if shes ok.

- Feel so lost without Jess, went out into the backyard whistling and calling her name, thought I heard the pitter patter of paws in my neighbours garden, I went into the garden (open space) called her, whistled, said dinner (if you say that she'll come dashing) and WALKIES, but no such luck. Cannot stop crying, she is so dearly missed and I cannot stop fearing the worst :'(
