- Have posted this info to 'Find Topesy' fb page, as came in from Emma Nicholas on our fb page (DogLost Cornwall)..................Just returned from walking my dog in Unity woods St Day. I spotted a greyhound / lurcher type dog, very scared and fast, Grey with white chest and a white tipped tail. It disappeared into the woods and definitely had no owner with it. Just wondering if one is missing matching this description.

- Hi
A blue/grey female whippet has been found in the Blisland area this evening and I am bringing it to your attention in case it could be Topesy.
The post is on the DOGLOST CORNWALL page and the screenshot here: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtl1/v/t1.0-9/12219484_944293775642344_1342064518341490332_n.jpg?oh=4e7e311fe64bf96979b26178690cd64e&oe=56AEA4C0
I have asked the finder to notify the Dog Warden.
I have also sent this as an email.
Kind regards,
Geoff Axford - Area Volunteer (Doglost)

- Sorry, Chilsworthy dog is not Topesy :-(, I've just seen him and it's definitely a male dog.
- 2015-07-14 19:46 cycas
- Not yet, I was going to check at the pub first, but glad to hear she has picked this up. I've left a poster with the lady who saw the dog and asked me, and I also asked at the pub but the person who contacted me from there before wasn't around. I've left a poster there anyway and will keep an eye out and call asap if I get anything more concrete.

- Thank you cycas. I am not sure if you told Topesy's owner or not, but I have had a message off her & she saw this posting & is going to follow it up.

- I have had a couple of people in Chilsworthy village near Gunnislake ask me if I know anything about a blue whippet with white chest that seems to be hanging about the village (They asked me as I have sighthounds but it's not one of mine). I haven't spotted it myself, and the people that did were not very clear about markings or sex, but were definite that it was grey in colour and smaller than my dogs so right size for a whippet. I will see if I can get a sighting or photo myself and will take a Topesy poster up to the pub.

- Looking at the map of the area, there are a lot of woodland areas with a river running through it, Topsey may be around this area and might be able to hide very well indeed. Make sure that the Postmen, Milkmen, holiday cottages, paperboys, etc all have posters. Put posters up everywhere you can - this dog will be in survival mode, looking for fresh water and food. Is most likely to be seen early in the morning or at sunset.

My beautiful blue whippet Topesy has been missing since Monday the 24th of November and was last seen in the Blisland area. This is an urgent plea for any sitings or information regarding Topesy within Cornwall (or beyond if matches the description).
Topesy is light blue with a white stripe down her face and muzzle, she has a white chest and stomach with four white paws and a triangle shaped white patch on the back of her neck. She is microchipped.

- Sorry to see that TOPESY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (78875)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
