I'd go back and continue to search that area, and it might not be a bad idea to have a word with the Fell and Moorland Working Terrier Club to see if they have any local members who might know the tunnel and holes. Will PM you the number.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Understand, from a repeated conversation with the breeder, that the first search took place in the local area which is known for old underground tunnels. But we will keep trying and continue to hope that Rene has been taken in by someone or left at a shelter. LynnLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't live down there anymore but it suddenly dawned on me on my friends down there! Andy is the warden for the land at the MOD site and he tends to notice these things. BeckyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As anyone checked for holes and old mineshafts in the area he went missing, or isn't it that kind of area? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have sent his details to people in that area, one works in local boarding kennels and another is the warden at the MOD land near Perran Sands. BeckyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm surprised not turned up yet hardly a common breed. Maybe someone has taken him in? BeckyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poster e-mailed to the Chamber of Commerce, Redruth Bookshop, Redruth Model Flying Club, Creaz-an-bre Boarding kennels, Various holiday parks and campsites, the Old Cornwall Society Museum, and the newsdesk at the Camborne and Redruth Packet newspaper. Will keep thinking - surely someone somewhere has an idea of where he may be! It is very difficult having no local knowledge as to how much good I am doing from here, but will keep plugging on. A link to Doglost has been added to a brilliant website which is read by loads of Wolfhound people especially - Torteval Irish Wolfhounds - www.irishwolfhounds-guernsey.com. Anne has alerted a contact of hers in Cornwall, who will hopefully be able to spread the word.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have e-mailed posters to the Rugby Club, town council, care home, camera club, and archery club. No special reasons, just easy to find their e-mail addresses when you put Redruth into the search engine! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still mailing contacts in South of England and have posted info. at local vets in Essex area - it always seems a long shot, but worth a try. Fingers still crossed. Lynn xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OK, have just e-mailed messages to the following: South West Hound Club, Barrenger Basset Hounds and the area secretary of the Irish Wolfhound Club, asking if they can contact anyone they know in the area. Also e-mailed poster to animals in mind, ferne animal sanctuary, gables farm, happy landings, RSPCA Cornwall, and St Francis home for animals. Need to go to work now, but will spend the time profitably getting fax and e-mail addresses for the Cornwall area! Hope you are safe beastie boy. Sue XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope to have a picture soon. If anyone is not sure what a Fauve looks like, there are a couple of pictures of found Fauves - Ozzie and Gamble, or either check the Brevelay website, or Pedigree Dogs website for more. I don't have any contacts in Cornwall, but will e-mail the Torteval Woldhounds, as they have a huge network of friends all over, and they may be able to help. Also, just as soon as we get a poster, I will fax vets in area, and e-mail any that I can find have an e-mail address in the RVC directory. Honestly, fauves, who'd have 'em (eh Brevelay!)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as you provide poster, we will also mail everyone in the South and post at local vets etc. in our area. As you know these fauves can be hardy little people and he may have gone underground an emerged miles away to be found by someone. Having several fauves myself I can only imagine how you feel. Good luck and lets get looking. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
