Owner for the found has now been found. Spike’s owner has also just replied sadly he is still missing. 😥

Thanks Julie for commenting and adding the found details on DogLost ID 185199. I have sent a message to Spike’s owner to confirm if found is him or not.

I am already in touch with Julie via fb and updated the found detail and added photo.

Hello, I know this is some time ago now but we have found a black dog similar to this description however now grey areas as he’s older age, the same breed found around the L32 area.

I would like to thank anyone who has helped in the search for Spike and sadly, after tireless efforts, we have still not been able to locate him but we still hope for the best and will continue to follow any leads anyone may have. Thank you for the continued support.

Very similar dog to SPIKE on Cheshire West & Chester Council stray dog's website, is described as a greyhound.

Found: Ellesmere Port
Rehousing date: 1 February 2015

I'll alert owner.

If he is still not home by tomorrow evening will do a share post for him.

Please check the dog found in Widnes, post code WA8, says black, brown mongrel but looks like a whippet x
