If only I lived nearer then I wouldn't hesitate to help you out. If I feel like this then I'm pretty sure that there will be someone near you that would only be too pleased to have a bit of company as well. What about an active OAP as an avenue you may wish to consider? You could, for instance, try advertising through your local Vet to see if there is someone there who knows of someone trustworthy. There are plenty of us about! Good luck.

Great to see it has all worked out for Buster and his owner....meant to be together! have a happy life Buster....he will be fine at home knowing you will be back....much better than not knowing what type of life he is leading....so heartless and stupid of these irresponsible so say dog lovers. Keep your gorgeous boy safe xx

Totally agree Mary, we all have to work, well retired now, but dogs cope well with being left if they are in a safe secure and loving home, as you say a neighbour may help by letting him out at some time during the day for a loo break...Good Luck to his owners and your juggling...I am sure all will be fine.

What a sad story. Our local dog pound lady made a good point recently. People who have to leave their dogs for a long time feel very guilty and try to remedy the situation by passing them on to someone else or taking them to kennels in the hope of a better life. This dog really loves you and although it is not ideal for him to be alone for long periods at least he is safe and warm and loved. Hope this helps and you can resolve your situation. Perhaps you have a kind neighbour who would like to walk him during the day, just to give him a break.

Oh I see. Hope the situation is resolved for Buster.

He looks a really lovely dog, the type that would settle in front of the fire.
I hope your situation is resolved happily.

Caz is not the owner- the owner posted the text below on facebook after the people (not confirmed whether or not the same people as far as i know) that took Buster apparently dumped him at Asda

Caz. Please dont feel guilty, as it is not your fault. If you find it diffucult with work committments, perhaps someome who has known the dog could perhaps "Look out for him" and perhaps take him for a walk if necessary. Keep us posted.

copied & paste comments on Fb by Owner :- Grant Lee Dacosta Yes he is mine his name is buster he is 3..minature doberman cross german shepard i advertised him on pre loved and homes for pets as im goin back to work full time and wont have time for him so to be fair i thought he needed a owner with more time but unfortunatly i was mis led and the people that took him abandoned him when me and my girlfriend see the post we were horrified and thought its was abit strange as the couple that took him ignored my messages about how he was getting on and he promised pics but never delivered.. so i am gonna keep him and try to juggle things round him as he doesnt deserve this and i feel so guilty for letting this happen but thanks to the kindness of Natalie Hackney he is fine thanks again x

copied & pasted comment on FB page from finder :- Natalie Hackney Hello to ALL of you kind people. Firstly, apologies if I haven't been able to reply to some of you people that have left me personal messages. I am still making enquiries now. ALSO the dog has been re-united with the owner. The owner had advertised him on a selling site and the people that had him, are the people that abandoned him. He is back with his original owner for now but from what I can gather he isn't in a position to keep him

well, I hope they have good images on CCTV & can find some way to prosecute for Pet Cruelty - this is no answer, even if it IS Christmas & you can't afford to pay the Vet Bills or feed the poor dog
Animals have hearts & souls & feelings - no neeed to treat them this way :(
