Tx everyone...a shining example of why doglost is here...what we can all do to help...and how caring Battersea dogs home are!
DogLostreggiemollieros
That is great. I had been contacted by the owner's friend here in the UK and she said she would get in touch with Battersea.
Thank you Abbalish for posting on here and not giving up.
Hopefully we will see a reunited photo at some point.

A friend of owner contacted us and is going to come in and collet Mirta in the next few days. owner is travelling but now knows Mirta is here and is over the moon!
DogLostreggiemollieros
I have located the friend of owner who commented on my original post on Facebook back in December. She is also trying to contact Mirta's owner via Facebook etc. someone else has also posted in Spanish & English on a number of owner's friend's pages. Hopefully one of these messages will get through and soon.

Have left a comment on the You Tube video.

Don't know if this is of any help, but I just googled Silvia Rodrigo Garcia and someone of that name uploaded a video on YouTube 3 days ago. Don't know if it's the right person, but what about leaving a comment about Mirta on the video? She might keep checking the video for comments. Ps the video was about 'Molino de viento' which looks like a Spanish windmill.

Sadly all the info that is logged here is exactly the same info as we have got through chip, same address, email address and two numbers that are inactive. We have sent a card to address so hopefully someone there will respond though i believe the owner has gone to Spain in which case we have no way of contacting them. No leads with FB ether.
lisamarie
I've messaged Silvia on FB and also two of her friends have been messaged. No response as yet. Mirta's owner was devastated when Mirta was taken and although not active on here she was very active on all the facebook posts regarding Mirta. Here's hoping they are reunited soon!
lisamarie
Hi, I've just tagged the owner on facebook Silvia Rodrigo Garcia is Mirta's owner.
DogLostreggiemollieros
If I remember rightly owner's friend commented on a Facebook page where I posted Mirta. I shall see if I can locate her. I will check Twitter too.

We have address that we got from chip that we have sent card to. We also spoke to vets where dog was registered and they told us owner was going away to Spain to live in the new year (this was back in Dec). Dog will do its 'stray days' here so hopefully we have some luck in that time.

I have made a report at BDCH but nothing here yet i'm afraid
DogLostreggiemollieros
Just in case anyone checking in has not seen extra info: a blonde woman in her mid thirties was seen untying Mirta and apparently said she was going to the police station.

Could have been genuine or just said that as people may have been looking on. So far she has not come forward.
Silvia have you made a report to Battersea and got a reference number? Also have you informed the microchip company if the situation? Was Mirta chipped in the UK? A friend of yours commented on Facebook post I shared, that you are from Spain so just checking that aspect of the chip.
I was in Streatham yesterday and did not see many posters. Maybe put them in those 2 bus stops near by and laminate them as is going to rain. Or those plastic folders you can about 50 in the 99p store. She must be local this woman if the boy with her was on a bike.
I am praying you get a call asap x
DogLostreggiemollieros
Thank you for adding the photo to top box. I am getting lots of retweets on twitter and have asked Streatham Hill Vets to share on their Facebook page x
DogLostreggiemollieros
Because there is currently no photo in the top box it means when you yry to print a poster or to share link it comes up 'awaiting photo' Can you please shift it from the bottom box please? Thanks
DogLostreggiemollieros
I am so sorry that Mirta has been stolen. There is a lot of CTV on Streatham High Road so maybe the police could help you? I hope so. Hopefully whoever took her will bring her back when they see all the sharing and tweeting.
