Border collie found near Newcastle under Lyme on lostyourpet,now atClaremont road dog and cat shelter, sounds as though been out for a while

Dog spotted in Thorne, near market place/Church, SEE BRUNO missing from Bawtry area notes. More inclined to believe the bedraggled dog spotted in Thorne could be dear Sam, as opposed to poor Bruno. Someone may like to follow this up ? I will be looking for both dogs very soon as I live in Retford area. Donny Wayne

Hi as the owner of 4 collies one of which has been stolen ,they are such obediant dogs you just know when they have been taken ,I do hope Sam is back for you for christmas ( and our own Blue too ) it would be the perfect presant for your little girl as I'am to far away I'am unable but will be think of you heres hoping they are both home soon.Blue's Mum Jacky

Hi Jan and thank you for your kind words. No, Sam never jumped the fence he was taken, I had just fed all 3 dogs (other two are labs) and went in to get my coat etc as I always take the dogs out after their meals. All 3 dogs sit in a line and wait 4 me. They are very obediant and do exactly as they are told ( x prison dogs) None of them have wondered anywhere. Anyway, as I came back outside there were just the 2 labs sat there, Sam had gone. I previously remember hearing a car pull up and go, as I live in a cul-de-sac and it's that quiet I hear everything. I hunted straight away for Sam but nowhere to be found. So I don't think it's just me that thinks Sam has been STOLEN. I can't beleive someone would do this, my little girl is heartbroken and calls for Sam every morning. Some people are just heartless. I just hope whoever has taken him are really looking after him.

REALLY HOPE LOVELY SAM TURNS UP SOON, HE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE MY SISTER'S BORDER COLLIE. WAS SAM LET OUT/TAKEN FROM YOUR GARDEN OR DID HE JUMP OVER A FENCE? I HAVE A YOUNG BORDER COLLIE AND SHE HAS JUMPED OVER SAFETY GATES AND GARDEN FENCE INTO MY GARDEN ETC FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE, MY PREVIOUS BORDER COLLIE WOULD ALSO JUMP OVER THE FENCE (THE FENCE IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP MY DOGS OFF THE GARDEN!!). MY OTHER DOGS (GSD & GOLDEN RETRIEVER) HAVE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO JUMP THE FENCE EVEN THOUGH I DID AGILITY WITH THEM. BRILLIANT THAT SAM IS MICROCHIPPED. PUT LOTS AND LOTS OF POSTERS UP IN YOUR AREA AND TRY LOCAL DOG TRAINING CLUBS AND HAND OUT SMALL POSTERS TO DOG WALKERS. TOO FAR FOR ME TO HELP. GOODLUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH. JAN (LIVERPOOL) XXX

Have put posters up in Bawtry of Sam and Bruno Butch in Bawtry this afternoon. Will put posters all around Doncaster area on my travels this weekend. I really hope you hear something soon!Stay Safe Sam until your owners find you!
