- A couple of old sayings come to mind " you can't teach an old dog new tricks " and " there's plenty of life in the old boy" so Mum you'd better watch out.

- What a clever boy for trying to find home ....what a amazing journey and so wonderfully told! Stay safe and forever close Diesel now older ...so clever picking up mummy's scent and recognising the journey xx

- This is a wonderful story with a lovely ending. I wonder if Diesel could follow his Mom's scent as it says this is her exact journey to work?! So clever xx

- What an amazing story. I think this is also a reminder to everyone involved in reuniting missing dogs, that they can sometimes behave in unexpected ways and do stuff they have never done before. Even a respectable mature gentleman like Diesel can act out of character.

- Apology and Thanks from Diesel
Diesel here, a very warm hug and buckets load of gratitude for your care & support following my disappearance yesterday, thanks for being so kind to mum, for your kind caring words, your retweets, your favourites, your likes and shares.
I never meant to alarmed you all but I didn't wanted to missed out on the sales, and mom said I should save my Christmas money so I sneaked out when my bro left the door ajar whilst talking to his friend, I didn't even get a chance to get mom's Oyster card.
I ran all the way to the station, a bloody long way, saw mom's friend Suzie but didn't say hello as she would tell mom, I then got on the train from Norbury station after sneaking under the barriers, got off at Streatham Common realised it's the wrong stop hopped back on the train then got off at Balham, sneaked through the barriers again went downstairs, was surprised how well I coped with the escalators, got on the Northern line amongst a really friendly and kind bunch of people who made me feel perfectly normally and fitted in nicely.
Fed up of all the attention, I got off at Clapham South where I was stopped by the not so nice station guards, they were really horrible, they were trying to get me collected by some authority people but then decided to let me out in the very huge and busy park, I was very scared and wanted to face time/call mom but no one would let me, I was so frightened, scared, cold and hungry, with the hurry I was in to leave the house I forget my doggy bag, was running and crying when the police got me and took me to @BDCH.
The staffs were lovely to me and I was overjoyed when they said mom rang for me, felt sad when they said because it's late mom can't get you until the morning.
My shopping trip did not go as planned but I have cuddles for mum that wasn't for sale in any shops and I have a massive Thank You & doggy apologies coated with cuddles for each one of you that was too valuable to be stocked in any shop.
A massive thanks for the very nice lady Dora who was my friend on the train, she rang mum after getting my details from DogLost and gave her the update of my day on the trains, it was very tiring and exhausting will not be doing it in a hurry. Not sure how mum does it everyday to work as I went the same route as mom do for work......phew, I was barking mad to think this was a good idea.
Home now in my nice warm home, a bit confused trying to get my head around my very adventurous day but thank God for his guidance and directions as I couldn't have done this journey without him.
Lotto doggy luv xxxxxxx
Ps. Mum got me chipped today and she is getting me a brand new necklace with my name & contact details on, don't tell her but she should have done it long time ago, she still thinks I am a tiny tot, I am grown up now -:), love you mum and I promise I won't do it again unless I meet that special partner who is responsible enough to keep you posted when I am failing xxxx

- LOL looking at his photo looks as though Diesel does not even know what unmoving stairs are for...let alone an escalator!...or he wanted to go to sleep?

- Tx Battersea for checking doglost and someone who saw diesel on doglost for ringing the owner...this is the story so far as told to owner by helper....
Diesel travelled 10 minutes to Norbury station got on the train then got off at Stratton...then changed his mind and jumped on again as doors were closing....travelled onto Balham...was seen trying to get up the escalator...which he quickly got the hang of then went onto Clapham South....then picked up by Battersea dogs home! Please don't do him for fare dodging! as owner checked her Oyster card and he did not take it with him! - 2014-12-28 18:38 reggiemollieros
- I have just seen on twitter and checked with owner on there that Diesel has been found at Battersea Cat and Dog Home.

- The out of hours vet on Streatham High Road 02086770976 as I said below call them in case Diesel was taken in to be scanned.
- 2014-12-28 17:36 reggiemollieros
- What time did he go missing? Try the out of hours vets on streatham high road as when CJ was missing the police took him there for a microchip scan and it was a Sunday too. I will get you the number. In the meantime I have shared on twitter . Do make a report to Battersea Cat and Dog home you can do it online via their website. I hope you get him back soon.
