Wow - that was quick!!! I was about to alert a couple of Basset people in the Gloucester area!!! Great result. I was coming back here to mention my friends up there but couldn't find her under Lost!!!Last edited: 2014-12-30 14:13:07 by MamaBas

Oh I hate coming on here and finding a Basset has taken off. Just remember hounds often come back via the way they set off so if you can leave an article of your clothing where you last saw her, you may find her around there if you keep checking. Another old hound trick, gross, but..... leave some of your urine around the area. Ditto for returning to it - especially if she's not very familiar with the area. I'm ignoring the M50 because that makes my blood run cold. Keep calling - it may be once the trail she's been following goes cold, she will back-track. Hopefully she'll come back by nightfall. At least the weather is warmer than it has been over the past 48 hours.

Only about 5 miles from us. Have been in touch with owners friend in the area. Trooper doesn't come from this area but visits now and again but not sure how well she knows it. The farm where she went missing from is alongside the M50 so have suggested they contact the Highways Agency. It's a very rural area so difficult re sightings but have offered help.
